My partner and I stayed here after finding that caravan holidays were starting at £100 a night! We stayed here for £40 a night for four nights. The Arlington has a wonderful placement within Ilfracombe, a minute's walk to the harbour and only 20 seconds to the promenade. It is on a hill with a sharp incline so it may... More

Was let down by another guest house we had booked into (was not what they had advertised online - Acorn Lodge) and changed to The Arlington Hotel as a desperate measure. Was offered a sea view room. The room was spacious and clean with brilliant views of the seafront. We sat there for ages just watching the world go by... More

Stayed here for three nights this August. We arrived and had received a strange email saying that we had not got a room (this we learnt was no fault of the hotel). Panicked, we rushed into reception to see what was going on. The staff reassured us straight away that the email was incorrect, and that our room would be... More

We stayed there only 1 night, but enjoyed it very much. Cosy old style hotel with very nice and friendly reception manager, great location, easy access to internet, tea/coffee facilities in the clean room with clean towels and bathroom. Definitely recommendable.

A fantastic hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was brilliant. But the best was it was old fashion decor not like all these modern hotels/b&b's. A great old building with old character and fantastic staff. Nice sea view. Room was clean and coffe and tea in room all the time. Will be staying there again.

We stayed in room 23 which has fantastic views across the bay of Ilfracombe. Although I agree with other reviewers that the decor is a bit tired, the rooms was spotless with plenty of tea and coffee supplies. Breakfast was good and plenty of it with excellent service by all staff. Early evening sun through the large sash windows made... More

Spent 4 very comfortable nights at the Arlington, and would definitely do so again. I was in a sea view double, (extra, but worth it !), even though I was a solo traveller. This was very clean and spacious with plenty of closet space. The shower had loads of hot water but wasn't all that powerful; maybe this was due... More

Hotel was clean and tidy, breakfast was good, staff friendly. Old fashioned but great value and location, perfect for a short stay. Just have to have realistic expectations and perhaps not spend too much time in your room:)

This was a cheap stay and because of that I was happy to look past the outdated decor... but the mattress on the bed was soft and uncomfortable and the shower kept running hot and cold. I wish now that we'd stumped up the extra £20 a night and stayed at the lovely guest house down that road that we... More
