We decided at the last minute to see if we could get away to Ilfracombe over bank holiday weekend. Naturally, the choice was more limited but someone was looking after us as Acorn Lodge had had a cancellation for a family room. We know the area well and must have walked past the B&B/tea rooms umpteen times but will definitely... More

As soon as we got there we were annoyed as there was no parking. Only 4 on road parking spaces which were full so... More

Breakfast is amazing, cereals, fruit and full irish cooked breakfast. I asked for porridge one morning and it was served no problem. There is a garden to the front serving... More

Went for a long weekend with three friends to do some surfing at Woolacombe beach which is about a 10 minute drive from Ilfracombe. So pleased that my friend organised us to stay at the Acorn Lodge. It was perfectly adequate for what we were after - great location in the Ilfracombe town, near the waterfront, hilarious and very hospitable... More

Breakfast was delicious. A nice selection of cearels with fruit and fresh tea and coffee. And a full English was spot on with toast and... More
