The Acorn lodge has by far been the best stay we have ever had at any B&B. The hospitality has been first rate. I cant fault anything at all. I dont really think you could get kinder, friendlier hosts than Anne and Hugh. I would thourghly recommend this hotel to anyone going to ilfracombe as your first choice.

Ann and Hugh provide an exceptionally warm welcome to their guests. Nothing is too much trouble as they personally maintain a warm, outstandingly clean establishment.A tasty home cooked breakfast is a welcomed experience each morning. This establishment is ideally located near the harbour of a friendly town and central to all amenities. Guest rooms are very clean, comfortable and decorated... More

Myself and my partner stayed here over a weekend in November and we could not have asked for more. Friendly people running the B&B and nice comfortable rooms. The breakfast was amazing. We would recommend this B&B as we had a very pleasurable stay.

Didn't even get to stay at this B and B and kind of relieved after my contact with the lady over the phone...... So, booked to stay here back on the 2nd of September spoke to a very friendly gentleman who told us all about it and we ended up booking the suite with the four poster bed as a... More

We booked this bed and breakfast as a late deal for a short romantic weekend break away expecting a standard double room with ensuite. On arriving we were given a pokey little room in the attic where you had to duck to get around the room and also the bed. There was nowhere to put your clothes, no chester drawers,... More

We decided at the last minute to see if we could get away to Ilfracombe over bank holiday weekend. Naturally, the choice was more limited but someone was looking after us as Acorn Lodge had had a cancellation for a family room. We know the area well and must have walked past the B&B/tea rooms umpteen times but will definitely... More

We chose this guest home online as the rooms shown looked really nice and airy, with a big bay window with light streaming in. It also said parking was available which was one of our priorities. As soon as we got there we were annoyed as there was no parking. Only 4 on road parking spaces which were full so... More
