We stayed for four nights over the Christmas period 2015 on a coach tour. The hotel is slowly being updated but still retains it old world charm. The meals were enough to take your weight off the scale. The rooms were adequate, but in ours the shower did not work properly; the water kept changing from scalding hot to freezing... More

My wife and I booked a Christmas break here. Because of the price, we didnt expect too much. We could not have been more wrong! As we arrived, Sue the receptionist greeted us like long lost friends and helped us with our cases etc up to our room, The room was quite spacious with a very comfy bed and very... More

The hotel is a little dated, especially the lift. We took our 100 year old Dad for his birthday treat. The rooms need a little bit of attention but the linen was spotless so clean. Food was acceptable about what we expected. Entertainment was a bit restrictive but Thursday night was brilliant.

About 40+ friends on a Bowls Tour. Check in was well organised, bags delivered to our rooms. First room was on 4th floor, not serviced by lift. Shower head over Bath. Had requested Shower cubicle? Room changed to First floor - shower cubicle. Small room but adequate for our needs. Neither of us very large, but a bit tight in... More

I've just returned from a five day stay at this hotel. We were an elderly party of ladies and the hotel seems as if it is more for older people, The rooms are fairly basic but the bed I slept in was very comfortable indeed. Our coach was greeted by Sandy, the owner and it was like being greeted by... More

Thanks Marie S for your review we always appreciate feedback from our guests. We're pleased to read you enjoyed your time here despite the few little gripes you had over the meal times and the lift. We set the breakfast time between 08.30 and 09.00 to fit in with the coach excursions and the evening meal is kept at 6.30... More

This is a very pleasant hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good and so was service, even though our seating in the dining room was a little cramped. There are a few tired signs but the bedrooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The rooms were remarkably quiet, given the size of the hotel, and the only noise... More
