Visited in January with a coach full of family, friends and acquaintances. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Our room was light and airy with ensuite facilities. The management and staff were very friendly and always willing to help, no request was to big. would happily recommend this hotel to others. A great time was had by all.

Went with a coach full of people, Our group of twelve friends (four of which were able to book in separately from the coach trip as travelling from different area) all enjoyed our stay, Our six rooms were clean and comfortable with good on suite bathroom facilities. One couple found their room cold but this was quickly rectified with a... More

before travelling up North we pooped in for a flying visit one day recently. In this trade, heaven knows staff can be unhappy or even mistreated. The industry is famous for it, but these days no-one has to accept it. On entering the Hotel the Bar was closed and the place was empty. We popped back and had a peek... More

Stayed here with a friend just before Christmas and as it was low season, there were only a handful of guests. The hotel in general and rooms are circa 1973 (360 degree carpeted lift and paintings of kittens in vases) but our host Claire was so lovely and hospitable that's it's hard to come away with a negative thought. Very... More

our family of 9. including 4 children stayed here in 3 rooms for a September wedding.Spotless and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and like a previous poster we had a problem parking but they managed to get us in by moving cars around. Wonderful breakfast, including yummy kippers in excellent position, definitely would return and heartily recommend. The rooms... More

The hotel is situated in a good position and was clean and tidy although a little dated. During the latter part of October when autumn chills set in one would expect the thermostat on the central heating to be ramped up especially as the majority of the guests were senior citizens. Our bedroom was cold and the two small radiators... More

Came down to Ilfracombe with friends for a long weekend clay pigeon shooting at two nearby shooting grounds. I could not praise this hotels facilities and location highly enough. Lovely clean room, good food, lovely staff, and close to all the local attractions. Claire, the owner, was particularly helpful and welcoming. I realise it is listed as a three star... More

My wife and I stayed here while we attended a wedding at the Tunnels Beach. I almost despaired on arrival to find the car park located at the front of the hotel full up. We had endured an awful drive on the A39 from the M5 and the prospect of driving around to look for an on-street parking slot did... More

The hotel is in a great location, on a quiet road next to the tunnels beach and only a short stroll on level ground to the theatre and picturesque harbour area. The rooms are very clean with comfortable beds and good quality linen. The hotel is very well managed and the staff are very friendly. The breakfast is well above... More
