We stayed in Ilfracombe and were disturbed by seagulls and other noise. Driving out of the town helfway up the hill on the A361 we discovered Score Valley, and had stumbled upon an oasis of peace and tranquility hidden amongst the trees. Plenty of parking in the pretty gardens with undisturbed views of the valley. No seagulls, only the buzzards... more

Nice peaceful location, a bit out of town, not the easyist of walks for retired people, but only £5.50 by taxi into town. Good food and the rooms are quite large with lovely crisp clean linen, we found this a very cosy weekend away. more

Friendly owner, good breakfasts, comfortable beds - not the smartest place in the world but I would definitely use it again - good to be able to get out of the crowds in Ilfracombe and Woolacombe. more

Just celebrated a milestone birthday with a Country House Weekend with Murder Mystery. Great Fun! 14 People taking over the whole hotel (it has eight bedrooms). The hotel is a little run down in places, but very clean with comfortable beds and delicious food. An excellent weekend which was enjoyed by all!! more
