We took advantage of a late deal to spend three days here. Hotel was well placed on the main road with plenty of parking round the back. Room was nicely set out with comfortable beds, chairs and a hospitality tray and a modern bathroom and good shower. Not huge but big enough. No view apart from roof tops but the... More

This is my 4th time spending a holiday in Kingussie, staying in The Duke of Gordon Hotel. It is unbelievable how much it has deteriorated. Staff services are currently abysmal. There is no supervision whatsoever .. no management in evidence .. most of the staff seem to be young untrained teenagers, who must work for the lowest rates of pay.... More

Duke of Gordon Hotel is located very close to the Wildlife Park and the Folk Museum, both are great places for families and nature loving folks. The hotel is very large, therefore it attracts large groups and tours. We were a large group ourselves with two kids and enjoyed our one night of stay. During our visit, most people in... More

This is an excellent hotel to stay in if you are in a group. If there is just the two of you, go somewhere else. We went there for two nights on a weekend as part of a club group of about 20 folk. The hotel caters for mostly tour bus groups and it does this well. There are set... More

We travelled to Kingussie with greenline coaches, from the West Midlands. What a lovely traditional hotel. Our room on the second floor was spacious, clean and comfortable. Very good choice of food. Staff very friendly and efficient. Hotel is set in a lovely location with designated walks nearby. What a treat! Long journey but well worth it.

A group of 51 of us from Suffolk journeyed to the Duke with Cairngorm Travel, owners of the hotel. We were greeted on the coach by the hotel manageress who had it all organised, handing us our room allocations and telling us that keys were in the doors ready for us. Staff carried all of the luggage to our rooms.... More

Very good value for money . Meals excellent and staff courteous and professional. Hope to visit again. Entertainment adequate and bar prices reasonable. Bathroom floor was a bit creaky but otherwise no complaints.

We stayed here for our club weekend away and were very happy with the service and the food. Some of the rooms proved noisy and, as it is a hotel used by tour buses, some of the guests were leaving early in the morning and were up even earlier! The staff were friendly and very helpful and the service in... More

This is the third time we have visited the Duke of Gordon Hotel, what can I say other than it is very good. We had a four course meal each day plus breakfast and the food was good as was the service with very attentive and friendly staff. Our double room was large and clean and also the entertainment was... More
