Stayed for three nights over the August bank holiday weekend. We found the proprietor, Sue, to be extremely welcoming and helpful and they serve a very good full English breakfast. However, there is no option to eat there in the evenings, but there are plenty of other restaurants/pubs to choose from within easy walking distance. Despite the name, it is... More

We had a comfortable one night stay at this hotel. Fittings and decor are a bit dated but this is probably reflected in the price. The owner was friendly and gave us useful information on where to go for an evening meal. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. We would certainly stay here again if ever we return to Kingussie.

Our two dogs, Hutch and Keira, stayed here, again, at the end of June. Usual friendly welcome from Sue and the resident hound, Phoebe. Oh yes, we stayed as well, room, service and ambience what we have become accustomed to at this gem. Highly recommended. Ian.

If you'll pardon the ... em ... as a writer, all too tempting! Excellent nights spent before & after a business weekend. Such a lovely area, wanted to spend extra time there. Much enjoyed. Accom & breakfast so good, as was the hosting. Thanks Sue. I felt so welcome & at home. Nothing too much trouble ... not that I... More

I spend a lot of time in hotels all over the UK and find most of them to be perfectly functional, albeit soulless. The Osprey in Kingussie is a complete contrast, more like a really nice home from home. I would like to thank Sue for her hospitality and for providing me with the most comfortable five days that I... More

Just stayed here for 1 nights. Hosts were the best thing about the stay. At £70 a night its expensive for having a very small tv and no access to WiFi. The twin room I stayed in, in my opinion is in need of up dating. The paper on the bathroom was peeling and the grout/silicon around the bath needs... More

Hello and thank you for your comments which I have taken on board and would like to respond to! Parking is not a problem in Kingussie and the Duke of Gordon Hotel across the road kindly lets us use their facilities. There is also a free car park a minutes walk away. Water pressure I agree with but I don't... More

This is the friendliest hotel I have ever been to. Sue will do anything possible to make your stay enjoyable. It is very dog friendly, with 2 mastiiffs , sometimes we have problems with where we stay. Sue welcomed them and now they have new friends in Kingussie and we must not forget Phoebe, the resident basset hound, lovely dog... More

Nice bright, warm, clean rooms. Lovely breakfast of pretty much anything you fancy whenever you fancy it. Dog friendly and no extra charge which is sensible. Very welcoming landlady and landlord. Rooms well equipped with tea and coffee, local information, toiletries. Also do evening meals and lunches if required.

A very unusual hotel. Our bikes got to stay inside in the hall! Massive room. Decor a little faded, but still very comfortable and very nice to have a sofa. Good attention to detail with nice touches in the room. The owners handled a difficult situation with some noisy dogs belonging to some other guests really well and we appreciated... More
