Stayed two nights on a ITISON deal and can't wait to return visit. hotel is a little bit out of the way but is well worth tracking down. Very individual in style lots of quirky nik naks and period details which make it a really interesting place to stay. Staff were brilliant -despite a really busy restaurant on the Saturday... More

My husband and I have just returned from a weekend spent at this friendly, well staffed hotel. Dinner on the two nights was delicious expertly cooked by Mark. Our room was a coach house outside the hotel. Cosy with a comfy fourposter bed, a sofa, TV and a very large ensuite bathroom with large corner bath and a shower cubicle.... More

I'm somewhat baffled by the great reviews this"hotel" has.........we stayed 2 nights and had dinner both nights (as there wasn't much to choose from in Kingussie). We had upgraded to a 4 poster suite for an extra £40, believe me don't bother! The room was basic but I guess it did have a 4 poster bed so what can I... More

After reading the complimentary reviews we liked forward to our 2 day break in Kingussie however th I s hotel didn't live up to our expectations . Whilst our room was described as a superior double there was nothing superior about it all . Our shower was unusable due to the fact it was scalding one moment then freezing the... More

I don't get the chance to get to stay in the Highlands as often as I would like, but one thing I notice when I do, is that so many of these small hotels or luxury B&Bs are owned/run by people who have moved to the Highlands from elsewhere in the UK or from overseas. I'm not sure why that's... More

Just returned from a two day stay at this fabulous hotel, room with en suite immaculate. Staff very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. Mark and Yolande are very hands on and the food is excellent, well worth a visit and we will certainly be returning. Thank you both for a wonderful two days.

My boyfriend took me here for my 21st Birthday and it was wonderful. A very classic hotel. the staff were very accommodating and made us very welcome. We had a beautiful four poster bed in a small, slightly old fashioned room which was ensuite with tea and coffee facilities. A really great stay, will certainly be coming back.

We stayed a whole week at Columba House; that is probably the reason why we got a nicer room (Ruthven suite) in the main house. Breakfast is served, so enjoy. But you definitely have to dine at the restaurant. The menu offers 7 or 8 different starters and main courses, so we tried nearly everything and I can assure you,... More

Got a groupon deal! Room with meals on the first night an breakfast. The room was basic but very clean. Meals the first night were amazing to such a degree that we ate there the following night! The owners (who are lovely people) were very accommodating and let us enjoy the drawing room at our leisure. A cosy night of... More

Stayed here for a weekend break. Lovely hotel, warm and welcoming staff, very friendly and helpful. The room was large with a lovely view over the hills, although we could see a small part of the A9! Good location for hillwalkers skiers etc and a visit to Loch Insh a must if you're into watersports. The food was first class,... More
