Columa House is easy to find and we had a warm welcome. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean with everything we needed. We ate in the restaurant and the food was very, very good. Nice menu and beautifully cooked and presented. Breakfast ws very good too. The main part of the hotel is very old and decor and... More

Stayed for one night and booked dinner in the Garden resteraunt. Positives: Good location in the village which is perfect for taking a break on a long journey. Very friendly greeting on arrival All staff were super attentive and friendly, didn't realise that we were served for dinner by the owner Yolanda who really does make the effort. Food during... This former manse is in a lovely peaceful setting. We were welcomed and enjoyed a delicious evening meal in the garden restaurant - the menu was a little bit different from the normal with South African influences. Breakfast was good and set us up for our journey north to visit Speyside Cooperage and Glenfiddich distillery. Would definitely recommend for a... More

I spent four nights at the Columba House Hotel with my family, on our first visit to this beautiful part of Scotland. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The hotel is owned by a lovely couple, Yolanda and Mark, who run the hotel almost like a home. There is a great team of staff, offering the same friendly, homey service.... More

We visited this hotel in April and were very impressed. Hotel, bedrooms and dining were all excellent. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in the area you won't be disappointed. We dined in the restaurant on 3 evenings and even decided to have Sunday lunch sat in the garden sunshine serenaded by live Piano Jazz, a nice touch.... More

We were due to stay here at the beginning of June for the weekend as we were planning to do some walking in the area but due to unforeseen health circumstances we had to cancel our booking two days before we were due to travel. We knew that there was a £40 cancellation fee that was part of the T... More

Just like the perfection of the rooms, the restaurant was of an outstanding quality so was the staff. Friendly and watching everything in detail. Please visit this location as we were very surprised. Best breakfast in Schotland after traveling around for 10 days.

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel on our way back from the far north-west of Scotland, breaking our journey in the Cairngorms. Enjoyed our stay, we had a lovely spacious room with all the normal facilities. The hotel probably needs a little bit of tlc but I think this is in the owners plans. We had breakfast in... More

A few minutes away from the Highland Wildlife Park where we were visiting, the Columba House Hotel was easy to find in the small village of Kingussie - we were using our sat nav but it is clearly signposted when in the village. Check in is after 3, and we were greeted by the owner/chef at the door after he... More

Clean and airy with fab garden restaurant. Friendly staff, greeting on arrival was friendly and welcoming. Yolanda & Mark couldn't do enough to accommodate 10 out of 10. Prices are reasonable for the accommodation offered and situated close to Ruthven barracks. Local brown tourist signs on the main road ensure you won't miss the hotel
