This was a. Voucher deal and was excellent value for money. This is the 3 time we have visited and having read some of the recent reviews was bit concerned ...... there was nothing to worry about. Excellent value for money. Hotel was warm, room was clean and food was just as good as before. That said they have reduced... More

Oh dear, where do I start.. We have stayed here a number of times in the past and it has always been great... I would have been the first person to endorse this hotel for a number of reasons, all positive I may add... Not now sadly... I think they have hit the self distruct button here and for the... More

We had a great weekend at the hotel. We have a dog and an 8 month old baby and the hotel was perfect. Clean warm room with huge bed and view of the river. The food is excellent in the restaurant and the staff are very professional and did everything they could to make us feel welcome and confortable. Our... More

To put this review into perspective my wife and I spent two nights in the hotel with a meal and a glass of wine included in the price and breakfast daily for £80. As such we had absolutely no complaints for the price paid, the room was fine. the bed was comfortable (two singles joined), the location excellent, the bar... More

Local hotel so decided to go there with family for lunch. First off I was amazed to see the smallest menu yet in any venue. They have 5 main courses dishes and a light bite menu of panini which as they had none was to be toasted sandwiches which did not appear to be from the lunchtime rush. The meals... More

Efficiently checked in by Bruno on arrival and when we entered our room on the ground floor which felt cozy and did not smell damp we turned the radiator off whilst we unpacked. Bed was fine, actually after 2 nights we realised that it was two joined together but did not experience the normal "fall through the gap" routine. There... More

Having previously stayed here, my partner and I returned for a night away. I have to agree that it's gone downhill. I'm not sure if it's under new management or has been sold but it's not what it is was. Staff did the best they could and were friendly but the rooms were cold and smelt of damp, clearly with... We stayed here last several years ago and had a fantastic weekend. So when our friends suggested we repeat the visit we jumped at the chance, but did not realise that the hotel is now under a completely different management and what a disappointment we had. If we could leave 0 stars this would get it. We like country hotels... More

The location of the hotel is lovely. There is a wee riverside walk round the hotel which is quite easy going and enjoyable. The welcome from the staff was very friendly. Log fire burning , food delicious, room very clean and comfortable. Will be returning.

Without doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Management refused to see me to sort a problem out, the cooked breakfast was revolting if it was cooked to start with, the staff can’t explain what’s on the menu, wine list can be bought for under £5 per bottle from tesco’s, wine list only 4/5 bottles long and 2... Dear william9146, We are sorry that you appear not to have enjoyed your stay. I personally spoke to your group on arrival in the lounge and on your last night in the bar. I actually bought your party a round of drinks. In both discussions I had with your party your party told me that they were happy and all... More
