This is our fourth visit to this hotel. As usual everything was fine. Nice big room did hear noise from room above but didn't really bother us. Lovely meal on first night, sticky toffee pudding a bit heavy but rest of meal lovely. Breakfast fine as well. Had fish and chips the next night and tasted fine. Thanks to Lynn... More

My friends and I ha been doing The Cateran Trail from Blairgowrie to Bridge of Cally and decided to stop of at the hotel for bite to eat before walking back to Blairgowrie, When you reach the hotel it looks very welcoming with seats outside to have a well earned drink or two, We went inside to order food and... We were on our way back from a very enjoyable trip to DUndee and decided to stop off at the Bridge of Cally hotel for food about 4.30pm on Friday 10th April. The place was totally empty. The waitress who served us was very pleasant. The 2 haddocks we ordered were totally tasteless and a few frozen chips were underneath... More

A two night midweek break with our dog. Warm welcome, rooms clean and comfortable, excellent choice for breakfast, very friendly staff. We also enjoyed dinner both nights, thought some of the items a little pricey, but well cooked and presented, recommend the homemade Burgers.

My mother in law and I have just returned from a two night break in this friendly and fabulous hotel. And have booked to return in May again as it was so good.. We checked in after a long days walk. Chilled out in front of the log fire with a light refreshment. Received beautiful fresh food throughout our stay.... More

My husband and I turned up at the hotel on Sunday 15th March at about 6.20. There was no one in the bar. We should have taken this as a sign and left there and then but after 5 minutes or so my husband found his way to the kitchen and summoned someone. The lady didn't apologise for keeping us... More

Booked for lunch today, as we had family visiting from Edinburgh. Soup and fried brie were fine, steak pie was awful, the stew tasted either off or poisoned with some sort of herb I am not familiar with. The veg was stir-fried cabbage and turnip, which looked like left-overs, and had huge amounts of herby oil poured over it, which... More

Great place to eat! I have stopped there, without prior planning to do so, after mountain biking in the local area. Staff was very welcoming, professional & caring. Menu had a good selection on offer and burgers, which we chose, were excellent. We will be back in the future!

Sunday lunchtime and we were passing through from Braemar and fancied lunch. The lounge was empty and cold. The woman who met us seemed annoyed that she would have to lay out some tables for us. We were eventually presented with a dismal menu of soup and sandwiches for lunch - overpriced by the look too. We left - The... More
