The food is still of a high standard ,although breakfast doesn't run as smoothly as it could or did do ,especially on our second day ,I ordered the scrambled egg & smoked salmon ,people who came in after us & ordered the same ,got there's first & when it came to me I was told there was no smoked salmon... 2 friends and I spent 3 nights at the Bridge of Cally Hotel for their New Year Break. There was a dinner followed by a ceilidh on Hogmanay and we reserved our table in the dining room for 7pm. However, when we arrived we were told our table was in the bar area as the dining room was full. We... More

I spent a recent Sunday night at this hotel and it wasn't the best experience. Firstly the room we were in was room 8 which was very noisy due to the generator and also as soon as we walked into the room I could smell stale smoke. On returning home on the Monday as soon as I unpacked my overnight... More

I went on a Sunday trip with my husband, daughter, son in law and 6 year old grandson and had great fun sledging in the field opposite the hotel. Before heading home I decided to treat us to lunch at the hotel before heading home. We were ushered into a small lounge without much of an explanation of whether we... More

14 of us stayed this weekend and it was ideal. The dinner B&B deal was great value and there was plenty of room for all of to sit around in the evening. The staff did a great job of looking after us. We did find it was a bit cold at times and an extra layer might be needed in... More

Second time here (just after the New Year hype) and it is purely and simply a chill-out place to unwind and relax. The rooms are lovely and so too is the food. Portions not on the small side so beware. If you don't ski in the winter or fish in the summer, apart from walks there's not a lot to... More

Spent a couple of nights here and had a very restful break. Our room was fine - a very large, comfortable bed, cosy but no Wi-Fi. Bathroom was okay - shower over bath. The highlight for us was the food. Super menu and excellent chef. Highlights were the poached smoked haddock at breakfast and the scallops with green beans and... More

This was the second year that we booked the Hogmanay package. Totally worth the cost. We booked the same room we had previously room 11 nice sized room and really quiet with views over the river. The staff remembered us from our previous year which was welcoming. The food was amazing as before and the caleiih was brilliant. A fantastic... More

Another short December break in Glenshee with another stopover in Bridge of Cally Hotel for an evening meal. We had planned on eating here every night but with bad weather forecast, we brought meals just in case the 24 mile round trip each night was not possible. Yes, it is worth the journey. A quick scan of the menu and... More

Loved the atmosphere of the hotel within minutes of arriving - warm , friendly with great staff and hospitality. Rooms were very clean and comfortable with the Food on offer to a high standard. The Falconry display was interesting and the band kept things going from Hogmanay to the wee small hours of New Years Day.Will certainly return to enjoy... More
