On arrival we were created by the new owners, who had just received the keys. Friendly helpful and welcoming. Room 2 first floor, lovely big comfy double bed, clean sheets. Tea coffee in room only 1 packet of biscuits for 2 guests. Room clean spacious, could use a dressing table with mirror. En suite taps moved on the sink, half... More

We stopped here for one night on the way to the Highlands. It was easy to find, and welcoming, with a comfortable room and friendly service. We had an excellent meal in the bar area; I understand the dining room is used mainly at weekends. The location is convenient, just off the road to Braemar.

We recently had lunch in this lovely Inn. We had it in the bar but there is also a lovely dining room. The bar was tastefully decorated and pleasant to sit in. It was a shame that it was so quiet with just a few others in. We opted for home-made minestrone soup and it was a winner. My husband... More

2 night stay. Owners and staff (Sarah) very friendly. We didn't manage to eat there. Only criticism really is church bell tolling hourly throughout the night is a little tiresome. Rooms were very clean and comfortable.

Small hotel on the outskirts of Blairgowrie. Excellent accommodation and a very good selection of bar meals. Very filling cooked breakfast with a good selection of cereal and juice. Very helpful and efficient staff also made our stay very pleasant.

Last minute decision to spend a couple of days at the Old Cross inn on a short golfing break. Made to feel really welcome by Kirsty on our arrival. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was excellent and good value for... More

Great location for Golf in Scotland, including our week at the Ryder Cup Gleneagles. Great rooms, great food, good beer and some fantastic staff. Really recommend this to anyone wanting to explore the area and have a relaxing base to stay.

Stayed here for a one night stopover on a driving trip around Scotland. We ate at the Inn also and being a Sunday roast pork was on the menu. Very nice indeed. Room was comfortable and beautifully decorated and furnished. Bathroom was nice and modern. All was neat and clean. Breakfast was yummy. The usual choice of cereal, yoghurt, fruit... More

A great small inn with excellent rooms, good food and good local atmosphere in the bar. I have used this Inn a couple of times en route to the Highlands and have always found service to be excellent, the staff attentive and the food to be very good. With such a small scale Inn the breakfast options are not as... More

Visited on holiday mid July. We were not residents and booked in the afternoon. Good service and nice pint of local IPA. Stuffed mushrooms were very tasty and Sirloin steak was also very good. Diane sauce had a bit too much mustard but it's all down to personal taste. Scampi was good and homemade tomato soup was very tasty. Decent... More
