We stayed at Kinloch House for 2 nights as part of our mini tour of Scotland. Although we arrived late we were greeted with a warm welcome. Both rooms were a great size and very comfortable. The Allen family & staff catered for our every need, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was cooked to perfection, the homemade bread was... More

This was a return trip to Kinloch House and the standard has sadly declined significantly. The house is wonderful and the surroundings beautiful but it is no longer a Relais Chateau experience. The house is looking tired and the staff no longer create that great Scottish experience. If we were paying for three star accommodation it would be fine but... More

We were in need of a few days relaxation after a hectic schedule. Kinloch House was the perfect place. It was more like a guest house from a bygone era rather than a modern hotel. The public rooms were beautifully appointed with art work, artifacts and comfortable stuffed chairs. The service was what one would expect, discreet but always there.... More

Only stayed one night but would recommend to anyone. Very very quiet with all needs catered for in this fine old country house. Definitely a 'sports' feel and lovely, large open fires. Fine wines, fine food and great 'hosts'. Slightly disappointed not to have tea or coffee available in the room - although there is room service available. Also, we... More

We visited over the early May Bank Holiday - it was nice to find a hotel that would allow us to stay for just 2 nights (many require a minimum 3-night stay for Bank Holiday weekends), and it was convenient to get to from Edinburgh Airport, being not much more than an hour's drive (or it would have been had... The UK has many fine old country houses that now operate as luxury hotels, and having stayed in dozens of them over the years, I'd put Kinloch up with the best. Some have complained about it being 'old fashioned', which rather misses the point: it is deeply traditional, but who can complain about spacious rooms with hand-printed wallpapers, deep-pile carpets,... It was 15yrs since i'd been there, and really couldn't remember much about the hotel, but Kinloch House Hotel way exceeded all our expectations. From checking in to checking out, the service from the most friendly and attentive staff were second to none. Our room was more than comfortable, with the cosiest wood panelled bathroom!.(Love a cosy bathroom). Over and... More

We were delighted on arrival to be told that we had been upgraded to a Junior Suite. The room was very spacious and immaculately clean. We had breakfast and evening meal in the hotel which were both excellent and the service perfect.

Cannot fault this hotel - service exceptional - food out of this world and rooms stunning. Drinks obviously not cheap but for a one off experience who cares! Our dinner was a culinary experience not to be missed! Had our coffee and a malt whisky in one of the lounges with log fire burning - so relaxing - just An... More

We've been twice now and it's taken me ages to review it because we've got two young children and I'm a bit behind. BUT….it's a great place. The highlights: the fires, the stuffed bear, the quiet, the drink, the sense of having time to do things, the location, the food. In fact the food should get a mention all of... More
