Unfortunately we only stayed one night - must come back for longer. Room was very homely. Mike and Joyce were excellent hosts, especially good at helping to find a nearby place for an evening meal. Setting is beautiful surrounded by lovely countryside. Within 50m of the house we saw lots of birds including baby Lapwings and Oyster Catchers. Unfortunately we... More

My husband and I stayed with Mike and Joyce in their lovely home in Glenshee whilst we were walking the Cateran Trail. We were given a lovely room looking down Glenshee, which had every comfort. Breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day's walking ahead. Mike and Joyce are such friendly and caring hosts. As soon as we... More

Your kind comments are much appreciated. The Cateran Trail is becoming more and more popular, and we're happy to see this lovely part of Perthshire being enjoyed by so many walkers from home and abroad. It's good to know that you enjoyed it too, and that your stay with us fortified you for the next stage of the Trail! More

I have stayed with Mike and Joyce at the Dalhenzean lodge in the past and they were the first port of call when booking to stay in the highlands to go skiing at Glenshee. Again another fab trip made even better by the delightful hospitality of the Dalhenzean lodge not to mention the brill breakfasts. I will be phoning straight... More

The Glenshee skiing season finished yesterday, spring is definitely in the air now! I think you were here when the conditions were at their best for snowsports, and we're glad that you enjoyed your stay here so much. Many thanks for your kind remarks, and we'll look forward to seeing you again next winter sports season! More

Loved being at the Lodge earlier this year. Mike and Joyce were amazing and great hosts. Family atmosphere and excellent quality. Close to the local snowboarding pistes and when you want value and all round hospitality - nowhere comes close. Loved my time and going again.

I'm from Holland, so forgive me when my English is a bit "Louis van Gaal"-English ;-) But what a lovely place this is. We visited Scotland first in summer 2012. While driving towards Tomintoul we saw the lifts of Glenshee Ski Centre and thought "huh, Skiing in Scotland?!" This year we gave it a try, springbreak in Scotland. Visiting the... More

Many thanks Marcel, for your very kind comments. It was good that you managed to fit so much into your stay, and that you were able to see so much of our Scottish scenery and wildlife. It was a pleasure to have you staying with us and we will look forward very much to your next visit. Like most people... More

This was a perfect b&b for my wife and I. After a little difficulty in finding the house, problem with my Sat Nav as the postcode covers a very wide area. A very warm welcome from most attentive hosts. The breakfast has to tasted to be believed.

We're delighted that you felt very comfortable here and that you enjoyed your breakfasts so much! Although we are located on a main route, the A93 through Glenshee, the area is very rural so that each individual postcode covers a relatively large area of perhaps a couple of square miles. For this reason we do try to ensure that all... More

Have to agree whole-heartedly with previous reviews; warm welcome (even arriving quite late), immaculate and comfortable accommodation, attentive hosts, breakfast as requested. You'd get the entire history of the RAF from Mike if you asked him nicely! You're as well staying here, heading either north or south, as the fleshpots of Braemar or Blairgowrie.

Hope you enjoyed your day climbing the local Munros - even though the weather could have been kinder to you. You'll know where to find us on your next expedition into our local mountains and we'll look forward to seeing you again next time. Meanwhile, many thanks for your kind remarks, and I'm sure there are more stories still waiting... More

This was a gem of a B & B in a lovely isolated location with superb views. We stayed for just one night after visiting Balmoral and the welcome we received from Mike and Joyce could not have been warmer. The house was immaculate, recently decorated and full of character and dog friendly. A good nights sleep was followed by... More

Our recent overnight stop at Dalhenzean Lodge was another great experience. Mike & Joyce are super hosts, the bedroom is very comfortable and Joyce's breakfast are outstanding. This has to be one of the best B&Bs in the Cairngorms.
