This was the most amazing B&B, I have stayed in. Eileen and Oliver are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The accommodations were superb, complete with a living room and even a balcony to enjoy the fantastic scenery. And to top it all off, Eileen is a first class cook. Highly recommend this wonderful Bed and Breakfast. More

This is an excellent B & B with lovely decor, rooms and great attentiveness from Eileen and Oliver. Very clean and comfortable with own seperate lounge area. Great view of wildlife in the garden. The evening meal we had was really excellent home cooked food. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast excellent standard too and they have fresh eggs from... More

We've stopped at West Freuchies twice now and both times have been wonderful. Eileen & Oliver cannot do enough for you and are full of advice and information of places to go, things to do and where to eat if you've not been here before. The choices for breakfast is superb and the home-made cake on arrival is to die... More

We are getting married in the area in October and needed to find a place to recommend to our guests. Having previously stayed at another B&B just down the road that we were less than impressed with we decided to give West Freuchies a go. Our journey from Hampshire to Scotland was traumatic to say the least, we broke down,... More

My sister and I walked the Cateran Trail in late March and spent two nights with Eileen and Oliver. Their house is a beautiful place to relax after a hard day's walking. Oliver was very knowledgeable about the area and Eileen's breakfasts set us up for the day. Very warm and caring couple. More

From the moment Oliver picked us up from the Spittal of Glenshee, I sensed we would have a good stay in West Freuchies. Both Eileen and Oliver couldn't have been more helpful and informative. Their relaxed style made us feel like friends more than guests and they even introduced us to the wonderful game of "Tri onimoes" (a version of... More

An exceptionally friendly couple, Eileen and Oliver make you feel at home instantly. Rooms are excellent and immaculately clean. There is an extensive breakfast menu to choose from and always cooked to perfection. When available, Eileen's dinners are a treat. You will not find a better B&B and we highly recommend a stay at the fabulous West Freuchies. We stayed... More

Firstly, yes, you can believe all the reviews saying this place is 'Excellent' because it really is. Once in a blue moon you find a remarkable place and unbelievably we lucked out both here and at a hotel we stayed at in Edinburgh for a couple of nights afterwards making our trip to Scotland one of the best holidays we've... A wonderful place to stay and way beyond what you'd expect of a B&B. We spent two nights here whilst walking the Cateran Trail but would like to come back for a longer stay. Eileen and Oliver couldn't have done more to make us welcome and to interpret our needs as walkers. And we must mention that the food is... More
