I took my girlfriend to Sandown Manor for a surprise weekend away. This was our second visit, and will definitely come back again. The staff were friendly as always, and the Isle of Wight is lovely all year round. We had a very romantic weekend away, and even got to feed the donkey a cheeky carrot. We'll be back in... More

Sandown Manor is ideally located overlooking Sandown bay in a quite but very accessible country location. All the rooms from what we could see enjoy an uninterrupted sea view whilst being double-glazed warm and cosy. The staff are warm and welcoming and during our stay nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend this family run hotel.

We had read fantastic reviews of this B and B so we were a little disappointed when we arrived. The other reviews mentioned the decor but we were quite shocked at how bad the bathroom was In particular. The guest information does state it is the next planned improvement and rightly so. The family room was also VERY small. I... More

Booked a last minute night at Sandown Manor on 29th October. Booked 2 double rooms as my teenage daughter was with us. Staff friendly and lots of nice personal touches such as honesty bar, DVDs to borrow, take away table. Owners are on site and helpful. Hotel is tired and would benefit from new carpets in main areas, new showers... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at sandown manor,we have stayed on the island twice now and by far this was our best holiday on the island, even though sometimes the weather was a hit and miss with rain the b&b was like home from home and was more than enough to keep our children happy 'table tennis, pool table, games, dvds, table soccer, darts',we had a... we stayed 2 nights in sea view rooms on the G floor and the room was ok in size, we used a camp bed for my 3 yr old at night and the room had no more space left but no complains. Bathroom is good size but gets messy soon as bath does not have any enclosure but never mind... More

Nice friendly owners, helpful and cheerful. My own personal advice is if you dont mind children playing billiards and table tennis at 8.30 in the morning next to you eating breakfast then fine, book here, I love kids but not for me. Got to get your own tea, coffee, Parking a nightmare, small drive, apart from that kids will love... More

We usually stay in Ryde for the scooter rally ,as we take the twins with us its easier to walk into the town ect.We found the sandown manor on a booking website and it was the pool and the animals that swayed it for us because of the twins.Fantastic friendly couple who own and run the hotel, the staff were amazing... We enjoyed this hotel. As with a lot of B&B's you feel they could do with upgrading the bathroom and decoration however this must not be allowed to detract from this one. From the first minute of arriving with a lovely welcome to leaving the time spent here was great. Plenty to do for all the family, rooms lovely and... More

Negatives - small drive & parking, multi-coloured bathroom. Positives - great greeting, unbelieveable soft matresses, very clean, donkey, chickens, rabbits kept in garden, all looked after well, again clean, outside pool, big lounge & honesty Bar. In short, would i recommend it? Yes & i would come back
