I had a comfortable two night stay in the Bluebell Bedroom, which had everything I needed including free WiFi! The hosts very welcoming and catered to my vegetarian preferences. The food was delicious. I enjoyed staying in a place with historic character, close to the town centre, transportation and the beach. Overall, a good value for the money I paid.

I went to the Island to visit friends.I chose the hotel as it is easy to get to with out having a car I traveled by train and the fast cat ferry from Portsmouth. The train station(Sandown) is a five minute walk away, there is ample parking If you go by car. Most of the hotel is in the original Victorian... More

We stayed at the Chad Hill Hotel for our Honeymoon from the 18th to 25th September 2014. We arrived in Sandown Station from the Fast Cat at Ryde Pieread, we had arranged for someone from the hotel to pick us uprom station to the Chad Hill which was very much apreciated. We were welcomed and shown to the Lounge which... More

Lovely welcome, yes decor might need updating but then prices would go up . Had family room with 2 kids. Food good fresh cooked to order . Would stay again . Rooms mainly up one flight of stairs but pushchairs can be left in downstairs lounge.

The hotel is terribly dated, smells of damp, there were cobwebs all around the room, a short black curly hair in our shower (which didn't work) and to top it off, a cat joined us for breakfast which normally wouldn't be a problem but as I am allergic I would've appreciated some warning especially as it was sitting on the... I stayed here in mid July for 3 nights with my husband, son (21) and daughter (18). It was a lovely little hotel with a very helpful hostess and great location. The rooms do need a bit of updating and showers aren't the best but you definitely get what you paid for as the beds are comfortable and the breakfast... More

Cheap hotel - clean, rooms need updating, shower rooms are very small. Breakfast was good, hosts very friendly and helpful. This is an old building, so creaks and groans like you would expect, rooms would benefit from modernising.

This place is not very clean, there were cobwebs hanging from the very dated light fitting, there were no heating whatsoever and no hot water, the shower didn't work and when someone complained that they had to have a cold shower the hostess just said "there must be something wrong with the box, WHAT box?? she clearly knew there was... Although staff are friendly the hotel needs a complete refurb as there is no heating no hot water and the shower is a dribble and way too small the bedding isn't enough and the room is full of tat the tv is balancing on the wrong stand with power cables everywhere we were freezing
