I have stayed in the Sandringham Hotel a couple of times now, it really is a very nice place to holiday. I went with my grandparents and sister and cousin as a sort of Grandparents holiday. The rooms are in need of a little TLC but in general they are fine and the beds are comfortable and spacious. The food... More

We stayed here between 24.10-27.10.14 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The waiters/waitresses work extremely hard and are very polite and nothing is too much trouble. You are allocated a seat in the dining room on arrival and you keep the same seat throughout your stay. Rooms are all kept clean. The food was excellent - three course meal in the evening... More

This year was the 11th time I stayed at this hotel. In the lounge carpets, furniture, wallpaper and curtains have been replaced. Bedroom TV's, furniture, bathrooms and towels, Dining room wallpaper, lights and crockery, I'm sure there are other things that I have missed too. These have all been replaced in the years I have been visiting. They obviously care... More

Watch out for extra costs on upgrades and there is no customer service skills/rapport from the manager Vicky. The bathrooms get no better and the disabled access is very poor, infact there isn't any! The waiters in the restaurant were very good.

Let's start at the beginning and put it all our comments into context. The Sandringham is a three star hotel whichl was built a long time ago when society was less concerned about people in wheel chairs. There is wheeled access at first floor level from the High Street at the back but this has to be requested in advance... More

My son and I stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights whilst visiting relatives in Sandown. Oh dear! The bathrooms were like something out of the seventies! Brown suite with carpeted flooring that looked none too clean. No complimentary toiletries and the shower was just a hand held one. The breakfast was average and the one evening meal... More

We have just completed another great stay at The Sandrigham. It must be our tenth visit and this time we had one of the sea-facing balcony rooms which benefited by having the newly refurbed bathroom. We were so impressed that we booked an extension to our stay.

We stayed here for 3 nights in May and despite the mixed reviews on here were pleasantly surprised. We booked 3 newly refurbished superior sea-view rooms and they were lovely. Nice new bathrooms with a shower, flat screen TV, nice furniture, comfy bed, great sea view and adjoining balconies. We only ate here for breakfast, which wasn't amazing but was... More
