this was our first time in whitley bay and at the metropolitan and could not fault the hotel at all.the staff were very friendly and looked after us very well we even got a homemade cupcake each on arrival.the hotel is clean,tidy and i would definatley stay there again and highly reccomend to anyone!

We chose the Metropolitan based on location and online reviews and were certainly not disappointed. We were immediately made welcome, the room was clean and well furnished and the breakfast was excellent. Good value for money, we would recommend the Metropolitan.

Stopped over at short notice ( after consulting trip advisor ), whilst visiting relatives with new baby. Lovely place - we were put in room with double and 2 singles, so we could put baby moses basket on adjacent bed. Very kind and thoughtful of owners. Super value.
