Brilliant stay at the cara guesthouse gutted to leave. Carol is an amazing host, definitely coming back. My boys first time up to see Newcastle united and a memorable one. Carol went out of her way to make us feel welcome and the full English was beautiful.

I stayed here for two nights on business. I booked through a booking site . The parking was a problem. I arrived after 6pm and so i managed to park on the road behind. But with bags it was a bit of a walk to the front door. On ringing the bell a lovely lady answered the door making me... More

Visited recently with a few friends and couldnt fault The Cara. Usually at seaside B&B's the rooms are small and sometimes dirty but great sized rooms, bathrooms were nice and clean and breakfast was fantastic. Staff were all friendly and informative as we are from out of town - highly recommended!

I have just returned from The Cara Guesthouse. From the reviews I thought I was booking into a nice B&B which encouraged families. The photos all looked nice, the reviews were good and I thought there was on-site parking. I was met by a gentleman who was obviously in a hurry to go out. He showed me the room and... More

I regularly work in the North Tyneside area and have tried a few of the local hotels and Guesthouses. I have stayed at the Cara a few times now and it is as good as any for quality and value for money. I have stayed in a few of the rooms and have found them all clean and comfy, wifi... More

I am a 25 year old dad with two children (6, 3) who needed to stay in the Newcastle area due to my wife having to work nearby. I first spoke to the owner, an American lady, who booked the room for me. I explained my daughter couldn't use stairs very well due to a disability so was quite concerned... More

Stayed for a last minute family night away. The lady who was running the place was lovely and welcoming, and the breakfast was superb. Family room was ok but there were a few little niggles. First, it could have done with a spring clean. It was tidy but the floor needed a mop/hoover, cobwebs here and there and odd little... More

What a wonderful place is the Cara - I loved every second I was here. We live in the Lake District but my daughter's best friend has moved to Newcastle - so I took her there, and went on with my dog Tigger to stay at the Cara for the night. Firstly - how fantastic that the Cara allows you... More
