Good value for money, professional friendly staff, lovely big clean spacious room with a sea view, good breakfast with plenty of food to choose from, very hard to pick any faults with this hotel, looking forward to going back and will hopefully stay longer next time.

Booked as a treat for me, my sister, Mum and daughter (age range 21 to 83) Don't be put off by the modern dark decor. We had a lovely tea of Sandwiches with choice of filling, scones with fresh cream a choice again and a selection of tiny cakes all with tea/coffee (refills FOC) My only criticism would be that... Stayed here with my husband whilst visiting family. Nice and clean room with everything we needed. The receptionist who checked is in (Maria I think) was brilliant. Also the lady who worked breakfast. (I didn't catch her name but black skirt and a red blouse). We didn't opt for a sea view room as we were out for most of... More

When we arrived we were greeted very warmly and escorted to our room. Our sea view room was great - large and with great views. The room itself was nicely furnished and the bed very comfortable. We ate at the adjoining Tapas restaurant that is part of the hotel the night we stayed and enjoyed the dishes we had very... More

We stayed at The Royal for three nights as it was convenient for visiting friends nearby. On arrival we were a bit disappointed as we could not park at the hotel but had to park in the residential road round the corner. But Marie soon put a smile on our faces by allocating us Room 12 which had a lovely... More

Went to this hotel on 26/03/14 for Prosecco afternoon tea as a GROUPON DEAL. This is the 4th afternoon deal I have had and the 1st time at the Royal, but hopefully not the last as it is one of the better one's. The sandwiches were freshly made and delicious as were the scones and cakes. The Coffee wa strong... More

An excellent 'sea view' room, which did it all said on the tin, and one of the best hotel breakfast' we've ever had made our short stay absolutely perfect. In addition, the Devanti Italian Restaurant (on the ground floor of the hotel) served a delicious evening meal.

We stayed here recently whilst attending a family funeral. The staff were so accommodating, allowing us to check in early and ensuring all our needs were met. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious with excellent beds. The bar attached to the hotel was stylish and welcoming and the staff went out of their way to make us welcome. Breakfast... More
