Carhonnag is in a nice and quiet location just outside of Ramsey. Very lovely accommodations. Hosts were welcoming and informative. Even came up with a place for us to go for a much needed shoe repair. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable. Great beds for refreshing rests and peaceful sleeping. Both rooms, including en-suites, contained various amenities and conveniences. That... More

Stayed here recently with my partner during the isle of man TT - we actually picked up the booking from someone who had been unable to make it last minute and were fortunate enough to take up his place at this lovely B&B. We were greeted very kindly by Andrew at 3:30am as we had taken the overnight ferry with... More

So glad you enjoyed your stay. Those little milks with tear-off tops are a particular hate of mine, as are biscuits in little packets. I always manage to spill everything when faced with those. Surprised to hear you thought the Wifi fast as it had really slowed down with all the extra TT traffic. We still have space for practise... More

I took over someone else's TT ferry tickets and reservation for Carhonnag via Ebay/Gumtree as they could not make it. I'm usually wary about B&Bs as it can feel like you're treading on eggshells in someone's house, however with accommodation scarce (and expensive during TT) and this place booked already I thought "why not". I then saw the glowing Trip... More

Thanks for the great review. The broadband was considerably slower than it would normally be during TT, but with the population increasing by up to 40% I think our local provider was struggling a bit. With all 36,000 mostly home now, things are definitely faster! More

Having been recommended by friends, we were not disappointed. Indeed, I don't think it could have been bettered. The accommodation is generous, well appointed and tastefully modern; mine hosts very welcoming and attentive and there is the added bonus of delicious evening meals if required. Breakfast choice is extensive. A lounge adjoining the large dining room is a nice feature... More

What a find! Needing a base when visiting relatives, I chose Carhonnag as it seemed to offer more than a run-of-the-mill B&B. The welcome was warm, with Nicky and Andrew being attentive but not intrusive. The room was perfect -a blend of contemporary decor and traditional comfort, with the fruit basket a welcome addition. Free wifi, a deep bath and... More

Thank you for your kind comments. It is unkind of the Steam Packet to sail at such an unsociable hour, so the least we can do is send you off with a proper breakfast. We're pleased you enjoyed it. More

It must be said that Carhonnag sets a standard against which all other locations should be judged. Even though my first stay was for one night and of course I very much wish it had been more, I can only rate it so highly as it has certainly left a lasting impression of comfort, relaxation, lovely food, great hosts and... Our first visit to the Isle of Man could not have been better. This is a wonderful, homely, bed and breakfast, with hosts, Andrew and Nicky, who could not have been more helpful. We had dinner in on our first night, which was just right, after a long day of travelling. Then ate out in Ramsey for 2 nights and... More

Once again, we enjoyed top rate hospitality from Nicky and Andrew. Our room was spacious with lovely views of the garden and countryside beyond. Our hosts provided homemade cookies, fresh milk, a fruit bowl and scented flowers from the garden in our room, as well as an excellent breakfast. In addition to the superb standard of accommodation, this region of... More

Thank you for taking the time to post another review, and we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. The sky is looking promising tonight for a view of the Persiads ( not sure if that's how you spell it ) so I'm going to pop out later to see if I can wish on a star. More

This was our first visit to the IOM, and choosing to stay at the Carhonnag made the visit so much more enjoyable. The house itself is beautiful, not only in the way it is presented, but also in its location. Nicky and Andrew are extremely gracious hosts, who welcomed us into their home, not a B & B. They both... We all thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay and enjoyed the lovely food and our attentive host and hostess. It was so useful to be able to have dinner at Carhonnag which meant that we did not have to venture into the evenings and that one of us need not go carefully with the wine.

We're glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you found the evening meal option convenient. As we are a little out of town, it does certainly mean that you don't have to worry about whose turn it is to drive and I hope it adds to a stress-free holiday. We keep looking at that bathroom...
