We all thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay and enjoyed the lovely food and our attentive host and hostess. It was so useful to be able to have dinner at Carhonnag which meant that we did not have to venture into the evenings and that one of us need not go carefully with the wine.

We're glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you found the evening meal option convenient. As we are a little out of town, it does certainly mean that you don't have to worry about whose turn it is to drive and I hope it adds to a stress-free holiday. We keep looking at that bathroom... This was the second time we have stayed at Carhonnag, and once again we enjoyed a fabulous holiday. Andrew and Nicky were the perfect hosts who went out of there way to ensure we were comfortable and well fed. We enjoyed it so much we hope to return in the near future.

What a find Carhonnag was! Nicky and Andrew made us so welcome and every little comfort was anticipated. A beautiful large, sunny bedroom, with very comfortable bed and lovely soft pillows. We could not fail to sleep well. There was a modern shower room with large fluffy towels warmed on the towel rail, and replaced half way through our short... More

We're so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay and that you liked our evening meal selections. The kitchen garden is now beginning to provide us with potatoes, courgettes, broad beans, raspberries, strawberries and blackcurrants and jam making now underway! Thank you for your kind review. Wonderful place to stay. Rooms large, well decorated and well furnished. No shortage of a choice of beverages in the room with an ample supply of home made biscuits. Breakfast- fantastic - caters for all tastes, but I have to say the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon were something a bit special. Location is 2 miles outside of Ramsay which... More

Thank you Stuart; glad you enjoyed your breakfasts. If you have a look at Carhonnag's Facebook page, you will see that I managed to get a couple of your photos on there. You had the better weather; it's been a bit damp and misty this week which has spoiled the racing schedule a bit. More

We had a fantastic stay at Carhonnag. Nicky and Andrew were wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was beautiful: big and spacious with a king sized bed. It was cleaned daily and re-stocked with with tea, fresh milk and biscuits. The bathroom was wonderfully large and airy; really nice. There were fantastic views of the hills... More

It's nice when comments include suggestions of places to visit; not many take the trip over to the Calf of Man, but if you like a stunning view, bird watching and/or walking it it the place to go. So glad you enjoyed your holiday and maybe we'll see you again before too long. Best regards, Nicky More

The room was great - big, great views and immaculately clean. The bed the was both huge and comfy! Breakfast was fantastic and plentiful. The room was full of little treats including home made biscuits which were tasty! Nicky and Andrew were fantastic hosts even serving breakfast early one morning as we had to attend a wedding and even lent... More

Thank you so much for your kind comments; it's really important to us that you enjoy your stay and we do try to think of things which we would find useful ourselves to put into our rooms. I'm really pleased you liked my biscuits. Any comments or suggestions are always very welcome. Thank you. More

This is a jewel in the Isle of Man Crown. A very modern house in a very tasteful style set in a lovely rural area. Nicky and Andrew are perfect hosts, extremely helpful and you are joining their fine life style when you stay. The breakfasts were superb and plentiful and Nicky personally cooked the evening meals which were fabulous.... More

Thank you for your very kind review. It's always nice to hear that visitors have enjoyed the food, but it is also helpful to hear that you found the situation good too. The Island isn't big, and nowhere is too far from anywhere. Thank you again. Nicky More

After a wonderful stay at Carhonnag in May, I returned for a weekend of R&R and was not disappointed. It was great to see Andrew and Nicky again and they welcomed me as though I were family. All the comments I made in my first review still apply, but add that, being autumn, I was treated to superb meals brimming... More

Tranquil location in lovely landscape. Friendly cows in neighbouring field. Beautiful room with spacious ensuite. Best selection of drinks and biscuits on the room tray, ever. Nicky and Andrew are the best sort of hosts, in that they give you space, but are there if you need them, full of ideas for outings, and the breakfasts take some beating. Thank... More
