Room and en suite were clean and a good size and comfortable but slightly let down by a duvet that wasn't big enough for the size of bed. The daily servicing of the room left a little to be desired. The manager and staff were very friendly and when asked were very obliging and helpful. The food is very good... More

Rooms are not up to standard for an AA **** £50 for a single room with a double bed stuck in a corner was all that was available at time of booking. From my experience the rooms have a lot to be desired. The food and staff were great though, and we had a great time over all.

My wife and I stayed overnight after attending a wedding reception of friends. The setting was delightful with good walks up the valley to the waterfalls. The food was excellent and the breakfast were substantial with personal service; makes a change from the usual buffets. The room was average with poor TV reception and being on the first floor I... Had our wedding here. The boss was very helpful with good communication so things felt well organised beforehand. Everything went well ON the day which we never doubted, food was very good, service good. The surroundings are great and the fact it's out of town and not a stereotypical hotel is the plus. Rooms were good, maybe not as nice... More

I had read good reviews and thought I'd try my luck. The accommodation was OK - the double room was large and well presented but it had paper thin partitions and I could hear all the noise from my neighbours in the adjacent corridor. My evening meal was excellent - very good food and good value too. My cooked breakfast... More

We arrived here mid afternoon to get ready for an afternoon wedding. Were welcomed by cold rooms with the heating turned off despite the hotel knowing we were arriving early. It took hours for the room to warm up which made getting ready an unpleasant experience. TV reception is non existent, the staff did try to help but we eventually... More

We have eaten here on several occassions and have always had good food and excellant service. This time we had picked here to hold our wedding reception, and what an excellant choice it was. Service from the staff was excellant, food was served hot and was good food. The function room and bedrooms were warm, clean and well presented. We... More

Great location; great room overlooking the river; brilliant food; and Scott and his staff made us feel very welcome.

We arrived after a long trip to cold, damp rooms at around 6pm. The radiators were not switched on and we had to ask at reception for the boiler to be put on. The accomodation is not inside the main building, you have to go back outside, up some steps and into what seems at first glance to be a... More

My partner and I visited Glen Helen on the recommendation of the owners of the B&B we are staying with in Peel, and it was definitely worth the trip. The food was plentiful, locally sourced, well cooked, and served in comfortable surroundings. The service was friendly, without being intrusive. The menu offers dishes to suit all pockets, and drinks are... More
