I recently stayed at this hotel for our wedding party we had a long weekend with family and friends. We had the honeymoon suite & it's highly recommended (even if your not on honeymoon) The breakfast was great you had the choice of a fry up and cereal, coffee tea etc'.The function room was perfect for our 100 or so guests,a great... Great location spoilt by this Inn! We were met by a helpfull Asian guy who lugged our suitcase up the outside stair to the bedroom corridor. This corridor was lit by a series of lamp holders with 3 lamps each - none of them had all 3 working! An emergency exit sign buzzed like something from the motel in Psycho.... More

On the sweet side staff positive and helpful, food generally okay and good location. Plenty of hot water hot, bed comfortable and new towels every day. On the sour side the building and rooms are run down, poorly maintained and the furnishings tired. A Staff office off reception was a 'tip' and obvious due to the door being left constantly... More

Family group of 8 stayed for 3 nights and were very disappointed with the whole experience. The rooms are dated and small with a musty smell. The lounge area had large boxes of toilet rolls and a toilet seat on display for 2 days of our stay. The bar was unable to provide coffee at 8 in the evening as... More

This place was such a disappointment. A wonderful setting let down by obvious under-Investment and under staffing. The food was good and few staff we saw were good and trying hard but apart from the rooms which were adequately kept. the rest was a total mess. Bins outside which had not been emptied for weeks, probably from the TT some... More

To start on a positive note: the location is stunning. Er...well that’s the end of the positives. From now on it’s all downhill. The car park at the front of the hotel had old paper cups, litter and other detritus left lying about. It couldn’t have been swept for weeks. The surrounding garden to the hotel was all overgrown and... More

The Glen Helen provided a very mixed experience for our large family party. The food throughout the stay was very good; all the breakfasts and the one dinner we ate at the hotel were tasty, and very well presented. However, the hospitality did not match the catering; the rooms are of a good size and clean, and the beds are... More

There were lots of things about the Glen Helen Inn that i really liked. Lovely food, good range of beers, friendly staff. The location is central great, and there is lots of free parking. If the TT or Manx TT is on, you can just sit outside and watch the bikes go past. We had a good sized family room,... More

There were a few vegetarian options here, it was good to have a choice for a change! The option I wanted was not available on that day, which was a disappointment. The food was good anyway, as was the service. The waitress was very nice and did her best to answer all of my questions regarding vegetarian options. The menu... More

We had our wedding reception here, the staff were lovely, very patient and very understanding. the room was fantastic and the food was spot on. In the morning we got down to the spa gym which was totally free for guests and very well presented. A short story; one of our wedding party made a mistake in booking and ended... More
