Stayed for one night, pleasant receptionist, chcked in fine. The room was great with a lovely view and more than enough facilities. the evening meal was not great and I was surprised it had a michelin rating. The lift is quirky but overall teh hotel has olde world charm and some really good "free" extras. The waitress at breakfast was... more

Hotel with a lovely traditional reception area. Good food and attractive dining room. A complimentary soft drink in room. Complimentary newspaper. WiFi is free and works well. The hotel is located at the end of a large bay and rooms at the front of the hotel have a super view over the sea. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The... more

I stayed at the Regency for one night on business. I arrived mid evening, and was greeted by a very surly and unsmiling receptionist, who may be one of the owners. Signing in was accomplished without a smile or any dialogue. I was told how to find my way to the room, and encountered the antique lift which has just... more

I have stayed in quite a few hotels on business in the UK and I must say this was a great hotel for the price. Clean, comfortable and even a DVD player! They offer a free bus into the Centre of Douglas. Food in the restaurant was very good and again value for money. Would stay again, just for the... more

Since my last review, I’ve stayed at the Regency on numerous occasions due to work commitments. My main grumble is relegation to the Lodge (hotel annex building) for my stays and room 508! This said, the rooms are spacious, clean and relatively quiet. The hotel has even placed luggage racks in the rooms. The free internet in the room is... more

I had stayed at the Ascot the previous night and being a bit disappointed tried this out for just 12 pounds more than what the Ascot charged. Best decision! This hotel is 'small feel', but not too small. It has everything a business traveller could need and want. Even your own thin computer in every room! And a HUGE TV... more

We stayed at the Regency for a week during July 2008. We really enjoyed staying here and especially enjoyed the restaurant food and service. Staff are helpful and friendly and our 2 bedroom family suite was spacious although we didn't have a seaview. Unfortunatley the suite did not have much of a sitting area although it did have a desk... more

This was the third time I've stayed at the Regency, each time on business. My main reason for returning is the excellent food, and once again I was not disappointed. Three menus are offered - an a la carte, a menu du jour and a local food menu. The wine list is very comprehensive and prices range from £15 upwards... more

The stay in this hotel was certainly very pleasant, the reception and dining area were exquisite having been lovingly restored to their orginal splendour. The breakfast was superb, so too was the evening meal which we only had once as a we didn't want to pile on the pounds. We stayed in the Regency Lodge which is part of the... more
