We have recently returned from a coach trip and we were staying here. The staff were welcoming and efficient, but the lift wasn't working. We had been notified prior to leaving home on Sunday that there was a problem but that it would be working by Monday.....it wasn't, nor was it working any day and we left on Thursday. It... More

We have just returned home from a4night stay at this lovely hotel. Our coach party were given a warm welcome on our arrival. The restaurant was set out well with each coach party were given table space with different coloured serviettes, and each party given a time to eat at 15 -30 minute intervals, the food was good and plentiful... Holiday with a group of retired people. Steep, uneven steps to the entrance of the hotel with no ramp alternative. Lift only took three people at a time. Paid a single room supplement for a single room, not a double. Bed rather uncomfortable. Very hot towel rail next to the toilet rather than the hand basin could have resulted in... More

We are 67 & 66 years young!!! The Hotel is very well situated with large comfortable rooms. We stayed on a half board basis, the breakfast and dinner being self service, plenty of choice was very good. Alcoholic drinks extortionate. Good pub 200 yards to the left!!. The only downside was the heat inside the hotel, it was like a... More

This was our first visit to IOM and our first visit to the Rutland. The hotel is situated in a good position on the promenade a good twenty minute walk from the town, very close to the electric railway. Having said that the bus service a long the front was very good. This hotel is very much self service, so... More

We were an elderly couple on a coach tour with a favourite company. The Hotel Building was in good order, but it had been altered so that it had many narrow corridors and odd steps. The single lift would only take three people for perhaps sixty rooms spread over four floors. The alternative was to penetrate the labyrinthine passages. Our... More

This hotel is ok. It is nicely situated on the promenade with a lovely view of the bay but is quite a long (nice) walk from the town centre- about 25mins. The room was a decent size and had a good shower but the bed was lumpy and despite opening the windows as far as they would go we couldn't... More

My husband and I have just returned from a stay whilst visiting the Manx Classic GP, we were lucky and had a front facing room, with plenty of windows to open so we didn't suffer from the hot rooms some other people complain about. The staff were very friendly as were all of the local people we met, and helpful.... More

My wife and I have just returned from the Isle of Man Classic GP event, where we stayed for three nights at the Rutland. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast was plentiful and tasty. However, we paid extra for an "Executive" room with a sea view. There was nothing "executive" about this room , as together... More
