We stayed here for 2 nights whilst at a scooter rally. The staff were lovely, really friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The food (breakfast) was fantastic, tasted great and everything felt freshly cooked, probably as good if not better than I've had anywhere. Our room was superb, large and airy with very comfy beds and a fantastic view... More

Let me start by saying I'm not a fussy person,I understand that you get what you pay for and this hotel was ok for it's money,it was clean, the rooms were nice and it was in a good location for what we wanted.however, the staff were ignorant and rude,we had a query and had to stand at reception for 10 mins before... 4 day break travelling with Caradoc Coaches (a Shropshire company who I would fully recommend). They arranged the booking with The Rutland Hotel. The hotel is Victorian spread over 4 floors. It has been refurbished very tastefully. We had a room on the 4th floor overlooking the sea front. Excellent space and very comfortable, clean and bright. The building is... More

Never again! hardly any sleep due to noisy extractor over kitchen, which came on at6am and sometimes earlier and did not go off until after 8pm. Food very bland all vegetables were frozen and had no taste. No fresh fruit for breakfast, just tinned prunes, grapefruit, and mandarin oranges, in fact I think all the food was of very poor... More

By travelling with Magestic, you get very good value for money, which was proved by our stay at the Rutland. Being a single traveller I usually end up with a cupboard, for a lot extra money, but I had a wonderful room with a modern TV,and appreciated all the little extras in the room.

What a wonderful place to stay my friend and I received a great welcome from all the staff who were so helpful during our stay, nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the food marvelous it could not be better. Many thanks to all concerned

Just returned from a 5 night break at the Rutland. Location very central. Staff welcoming and very efficient. The room was spacious, airy and light with very nice furnishings. We had half board, the meals were excellent and always hot. The vegetables were rather limited and a little overdone to my choice. The hotel was very clean. The only downside... More
