A very good hotel offering excellent service. The title of the review sums up the food as this was the only criticism I could find :-). There was a very good choice of cooked breakfast - but not continental. We stayed on a five day break and there was also an excellent choice and variety over the five days from... More

Our room was the best hotel room we have stayed in on the Isle of Man. It was clean, comfortable, and a good size. There was plenty of storage/cupboard space and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was nicely decorated, and the shower was a decent size. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The food was good with plenty... More

Just returned from a Shearings 5 day break at the Rutland. First impressions were of a smart sea-front hotel in a quiet location. Plus Points Large comfy bedroom (401) which was kept in a spotless condition by the excellent maids throughout our stay. Decent bathroom with walk- in power shower. Both breakfast and evening meals were buffet style, with excellent... More

Had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. The only downside was the lack of choices for those not wanting a cooked breakfast. There was plenty of choice at evening meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Stayed here for 2 nights during TT practice week. The hotel was easy to deal with and the staff super friendly. The venue was relatively clean and tidy, but a little outdated. when arriving at the room, we noticed it had the smell of sewerage coming from the bathroom. We did tell the staff but they had not other rooms... More

Just spent four days at the Rutland Hotel. It is five minutes away from the ferry terminal and right on Douglas seafront. An excellent hotel. Spotlessly clean and the food was excellent. This should be a four star hotel not a three! Staff very friendly and accommodating. Would stay there again and would recommend it to others wanting a break... More
