Have been to the chesterhouse numerous times and the friendly attitude of the staff is great, lovely views in some rooms, tragic in others though. Rooms always well maintained throughout stay and breakfast buffet here is absolutely superb, overall fantastic value for money, though would not recommend if you are looking for an elegant escape that's for sure.

A very friendly hotel. Peter the manager was most welcoming, Mark the head waiter was very efficient and all of the staff most helpful and keen to give a good service. The hotel is opposite the sea and very close to the town. The carvery resturant was clean and tide and the food and plates hot

We are off the carvers for dinner. It consisted 3 courses for 12.95. I had a chicken and venison terrine to start. I follow ed this with chicken curry, vegetables and salad. There was new potatoes, rice, potato cubes and roast pork too. Lastly I had chocolate cake. All in all it was lovely, with good service and hot food.

Just returned from a wonderful coach trip break at this hotel. Our room was lovely, food was great & the staff (especially Mark) were first class. Nothing was to much trouble for them. We had 2 nights of entertainment. A female singer who got everyone singing & dancing. The second night of entertainment was John Lee who was great!! Just... More

The Chesterhouse is in a wonderful position overlooking the promenade, a few minutes walk from the high street, close to the ferry terminal and bus services for the island. All the staff are wonderful and will go the extra mile for you. We were in a very basic room,(301) which I am sure if we had wanted to be upgraded... More

Stayed here as part of an overflow from a coach group. Wonderful room on the seafront with marvellous views all along the promenade. Room was large, comfortable, clean and we were lucky enough to have a shower instead of a bath/shower. All the staff we met were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Open meal times...
