The outside of the hotel is imposing, and the reception area welcoming with comfortable seating. Staff efficient, polite and courteous especially the waiters - who couldn't do more for you. The bar was tucked away, and no actual bar area to sit and enjoy your drink, which was a real shame - but our trip did include a drinks voucher... More

Travel to the Isle of man on a coach trip stayed for 4 nights at the hotel The situation of the hotel is very central, food is carvery style but a good selection ,drinks are typical hotel price Room was spacious and spotless was comfy large bathroom and overlooking the bay . Staff very helpful and friendly

This hotel was excellent. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the shower in our room was the best I have had in a hotel in a long time.The food was delicious and it was a carvery so you could help yourselves to as much or as little as you wanted.The hotel is also situated on the sea front... I had never been to the isle of Man before so I was a bit apprehensive but no need . This hotel was very good in every way. a relaxing stay,no problems of importance except that our rooms could do with updateting.staff care spot on as was the food.the three star rating was about right. evening entertainment limited but better than none.beware rooms at back of hotel can be noisy from five am(service area,deliveries,refuse collections and noisy staff talk).otherwise ok.

Douglas was fantastic, the whole trip excellent. The Hotel was average. The food was fabulous - well done to the chef. However the room we first had was not very good. Had 4 days in the Chesterhouse hotel with a wonderful double room with sea veiw right on the prom the room was great wit shower and all mod cons the food was just great and plenty of it too.entertainment every night I would recomendthis brilliant hotel to anyonethanks to all the great staff who coulnd not do enough for you... Very friendly staff, waiters and house keepers this hotel was very clean, the food was of a buffet style well cooked and as much as you liked with a good choice, the drinks were very reasonable (not being ripped off as with some places. if we went back to the Isle Of man we would definately use this hotel again

Excellent service smart helpful staff, great food,room a little compact and dated but adequate and clean comfortable even though we were two old bikers we felt very comfortable lounge reception and restaurant were very nice .thanks

I recently stayed at the hotel while visiting the IOM on business. The building occupies the grand sea front of the Douglas Promenade. The actual hotel is very nice, I received a pleasant welcome. The room was very spacious (deluxe) and bed very comfortable. I had pleasant sea views to enjoy. Breakfast was good and plentiful, I didn't go for... More
