We had a smashing room with a wonderful sea view, well worth the extra. Smashing bathroom with fancy posh glass sinks and the shower was always powerful and always hot. The coffee machine was a nice touch as were the three legged chocolates that housekeeping provided when they turned the beds down. Would be very happy to stay again

We were dropped off at the hotel only to find we were not registered there. We were directed to our hotel, which shall remain nameless, as it deserves. On a walk looking for a place to dine we thought let's try the Claremont. We told the day manager what had happened and she went to work on the situation. She... More

We stayed in room 212, sea view room. Club business promenade. Everyone member of staff was polite and attentive. Our room was comfortable, spacious and had everything you could ask for and had a high quality feel. The king size tempur mattress was heaven and has now forced us to upgrade our mattress at home such was the 2 nights... More

Big rooms. Beautiful views. Easy walks on the sea promenade, and close to restaurants. TV in the shower too. Lux breakfast. A winner at 170 sterling a nite. Lovely lobby. Classy classical furniture, friendly staff, At all hours of the day. I recommend

Firstly, the hotel is exquisitely situated on the Douglas seafront, less than 5 minutes from the ferry terminal and very near the terminus of the horse drawn tram - slow but quaint and very useful! We were courteously greeted on our arrival although no-one offered to take our bags. The hotel occupies what at one time would have been several... More

We spent 3 nights in this hotel on a recent visit to the Isle of Man. The location is the best thing about it, although the reception and downstairs area's are nicely done out. Then it was down hill, our room was in the back of the hotel via a series of corridors and stairs with a outlook on to... More

Very good hotel only a short stroll from the ferry terminal, and handy for local shops and amenities. It would have earned five stars had it not been for the maze of rooms as this hotel has obviously expanded over the years into adjoining properties. Very well appointed with excellent food available, however our room was unbearably hot, admittedly due... More

Stopped at the Claremont while on a Great Rail Journeys trip. Our room was very small but spotlessly clean. The view from the windows was of an alley way. The food was superb, both breakfasts and evening meals. The staff were friendly and helpful. Evidently the sea view rooms were much bigger. Despite the hotels website claim that there are... More
