One year after our wedding reception at the same venue, we returned to the Claremont to celebrate our 1 years wedding anniversary. We had a 2 night stay in one of there best sea view front rooms. As they where one year before, the staff where kind, friendly, and gave us superb service throughout the weekend. The evening meals where... More

I could do nothing but recommend this hotel time and time again for great customer service and clean tidy rooms. We've stayed here a number of times and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else on the Isle of Man. More

The staff at the Claremont were brilliant. Alwasy friendly and helpful even when I was asking for was a bit too much. In addition I was upgraded to a gorgeously renovated new room. I've been to 5 star hotels which did not have as many amenities. More

The location of this hotel is excellent right across the road from the sea and around the corner from the the town. Parking could be a problem the hotel does not offer parking and there is a time limit on the parking bays. The hotel is very nice our room was very small and did not have a sea view,... More

I stayed over at short notice on a business trip. Booking was hassle free and on arrival I was greeted by a friendly and efficient Receptionist who was expecting me and already had my key card ready. Checking out the following morning took less than 30 seconds. I had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant both meals were of a... More

This was our 8th annual visit to the Isle of Man in late November; each time staying at the Claremont. The recently refurbished room this year surpassed anything we have experienced before irrespective of location. Total luxury and comfort! The warm welcome, the professionalism and friendliness of all staff certainly sets the benchmark for hoteliers to aspire to. In addition... More

We stayed in the hotel this weekend, which was a last minute decision, perhaps a bit more research would have helped. We stayed in room 215 this must be the smallest room in the hotel with very small ensuite bathroom. All the rooms with a sea view were being reburbished on our floor so there lot of noise from tradesmen,... More

Thank you for your feedback. Our apologies that the tradesmen currently on site disturbed you. We are upgrading a number of our Sea View rooms to our Luxury Room product. This work will be finished by mid December 2011 and will further enhance the hotel facilities and bedroom offering. Our apologies you found your particular room on the small-side. Room... More

My husband and I had an overnight stay at the claremont this weekend just gone. It was a birthday surprise for my husband, and I was very impressed with the deal I got! Very reasonable price with breakfast and dinner included infact I have to say I hit the jackpot compared to other prices at other hotels. The receptionist that... More

I stayed a week at the Claremont in Douglas in one of the east-facing rooms overlooking the sea and the busy road. The room and bathroom were very spacious and comfortable. The tiny old-fashioned TV set comes hidden in a cabinet. There are tea and coffee facilities and ironing board. Toiletries are kind of spa treatment and smell of refreshing... More

Having been to the IoM a few times and not been at all impressed with the standard of hotels, I wasn't expecting much, but this place is a gem. Although the building is old, it has been very well refurbished and thoughtout. Lovely decor, a nice lounge area (serving good food till 10pm) and a light and airy restaurant area.... More
