Well, first of all, I must say that the beds were comfortable, the bedding clean, the bathroom clean and the towels clean, white and soft. The food, although small portions, was well cooked, very tasty and the 3 courses made it an adequate dinner. You won't feel overstuffed, but neither will you feel that you haven't had enough. The waiter... More

My wife and I were given room 501, not huge but with a marvellous view of the promenade, beach area etc. There is only one lift for about 55 rooms, but it works very well and seems to cope okay. The restaurant is first class, the food being very varied, perfectly cooked and served on nice hot plates. Portions are... More

The Hotel staff are lovely couldn't be more helpful. The food is very good and there's a good choice at both breakfast and dinner, where you have a choice of 3 starters, 3 main meals 1 is veggie, and 3 puddings, followed by coffee or tea. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy, the only downfall in our... More

The Hydro Hotel is located on sea front at Douglas. The hotel is well presented with the dining room especially well decorated. The food is very good with large portions of well cooked meals, there is some ability to vary meals from menu if you prefer to omit some items. Our room was not big but had a lovely sea... More

Clean and tidy , good value friendly staff. The hotel is at the far end of the promenade but the bus stops outside so it's easy to get to and from the airport for around £3. For TT it's handy as you can walk up the lane at the side and your at the start finish

I had rebooked a gluten free meal for my husband, and checked on arrival that they had received the request, but it took 2 days for them to follow it up as he didn't want to complain. However after this hitch he was satisfied with the meals. The room was comfortable with a partial sea view which we were delighted... More

Our first visit to the island was very pleasant except for the accomdation. This very outdated hotel leaves a lot to be desired. We had a lovely sea view when we could see through the condensation, wallpaper was hanging off, TV was by the window and impossible to watch. The wardrobe was a series of rails and shelves six foot... More

The hotel is in a lovely position on the seafront. However a bit smelly on a night with all the seaweed. Room was lovely. The meal tomes were a bit chaotic has there didn't seem to be enough staff - some staff were a bit rude. Later in the week more staff arrived which made meal times better. Would have... More

I stayed here for a few days in the early part of Practice Week for the TT. This dog friendly hotel comes across as more of a large Guest House rather than an hotel, which has it's charms. Many of the rooms have sea views towards Onchan and being on the prom it's noisy in spite of the double glazing,... More
