We stayed Friday & Saturday night with a group of friends. Room was big and so was the bathroom. Room was clean and offered all you would need. Big TV and a safe if wanted it. Breakfast was very nice and the staff were helpfull and offered a good service. Hotel is on the sea front and near shops. Very... More

We stayed for two nights in July, the hotel was clean and staff helpful. The whole hotel is very creaky with very little sound proofing, we could hear conversations from rooms to the side and above. The bed was comfy but the pillows are very thin and very hard. Breakfast wasn't the best...poor quality ingredients and not very warm, service... More

Room was ok and everything worked but supplies for drinks tray were erratic. As other reviewers have said it could do with sharpening up on service although most of the staff were pleasant enough. Very good location in relation to town facilities and harbour but was a bit noisy on Friday and Saturday nights.

Firstly be warned: there is a late bar in the hotel basement which at the weekend was noisy. The outdoor smoking 'terrace' for the bar is located in the well of the building so the sound travelled up straight to my room. My last night nights sleep was disrupted continually till 3am with drunken noise (shrieking women and yelling men)... More

We had booked through Expedia for 2 nights for £180, which is expensive for a quiet island but none the less the photos and reviews looked good. I don't know who is writing the good reviews but there is nothing good about this hotel. From the strong smell of bleach in the reception area ( clearly to try and hide... More

Receptionist solemn and not welcoming. Bathroom handle falling off. Aircon not working. Cracked tiles in bathroom. Wifi patchy. Bar and resteraunt closed early. Faulty fire alarm caused 3am evacuation - not fun. Room 304 has no view. On the plus side breakfast was good and the room large and clean. Housekeeping service very prompt to bring us coffee satchets. Very... More

Our room was large and the beds were very clean and comfortable. We were at the back or side of the hotel and on one or two occasions had to sleep with the window shut because of noise from what sounded like an electric motor. It wasn't there all the time but was a nuisance when it came on at... More

The Admiral House is a fairly ordinary hotel. Although it was reasonably comfortable with a large room, cleanish bathroom, TV etc., The view of the neighbouring partially demolished building was very disappointing! Not the hotel's fault, of course. Although breakfast was adequate, the restaurant ("Howarth's") and associated bar have been wholly separately managed since the beginning of 2015 season and... More

We had our wedding in the Isle of Man recently and booked 10+ rooms at the Admiral House, everyone was delighted with the rooms and Alex on reception in particular was extremely helpful. We ended up using the basement Jar Bar as a rally point for all our guests and it proved perfect. Breakfast was good and although we did... More

Got a great deal through booking.com on the morning we checked in. An executive double sea front room incl breakfast for £90. Room was huge. Bed was huge. Bathroom was huge. View was incredible. No parking but there's a multi storey behind it and parking along the prom. Wifi was good. Facilities were good. We had breakfast delivered to the... More
