Had to go to the IOM on business. Never been before so I let the company book the hotel. Got there at about 5pm parked on the prom right outside the hotel. It's free parking so you might not be as lucky as I was. Checked in to room 9(52 steps from sea level helps to work off breakfast!) A... More

ok, where do we begin? arrived way after 11pm having walked from the steam package terminal unsure of how long it would take us to get to our destination. friendly enough receptionist who advised us we were on the top floor; seven flights of stairs. boy, we're those flights steep and even perilous. we huffed and we puffed and got... If you are booking this Hotel through Booking.com be sure to read the small print ie the little ? beside the Free Cancellation. I booked this Hotel based on the free cancellation..... and I cancelled it a few days later..... However, £375 was debited from my Credit Card. When I raised this with Booking.com they advised that this Hotel charge... More

The hotel is very nice in a good position on the promenade with a lovely Thai resteraunt. First visit to the IOM so was not sure where to stay but was pleased with the room and service that we received in this small , comfortable hotel. Steep stairs to rooms so not suitable for all guests. Lovely breakfast and very... More

we stayed here for 11 nights for the Isle of Man TT motorbike race. the hotel is conveniently located on the main promenade of douglas (main town), so it was handy to walk to restaurants, pubs, shops etc. If you are staying on the island for the TT, it is walking distance from the pits, but you will need a... When we stayed for 5 nights, back in August 2011. We stayed in the Acacia Suite, and loved every minute of it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My wife being disabled and recently recovering from an RTA (which only exacerbated her mobility problems) could not manage to get out every day, and while I went to get the... More

nice people working in the reception, but certainly not a 4 star hotel, lots of stairs and very tight when taking bags to the rooms, breakfast was excellent and hot, Room we had was not the best as it was very small and the view of a closed down Hotel/Shop was not the best, I would like to say also... My sister won a free night here and we stayed recently. We had a sea view with lovely windows that we opened wide to watch everyone on the promenade. Our room was well decorated and the beds were comfy. The breakfast was the best Full English I had on my three week trip around the region. A nice place...hope it... More

Got the basics? Bed AND breakfast? Weakest property on our current tour fell short of expectations. Very clean & tidy or rating drops a notch. 1st time in over 40 years of staying in B&B's in British Isles, unable to get a cuppa tea with morning 'breakfast'. Seems the nice gentleman in charge of early 'service' can operate a coffee... More

A comfortable and well appointed place for sight seeing - close to the electric train for Laxey wheel and Ramsey. The Station pub near the electric train/tram sells local beer and the staff are friendly. The Acacia boutique was not what I was expecting from the description. It was very clean and comfortable and I had a lovely sea view... More
