Stayed here in march 2015. Receptionist was really helpful and sorted out breakfast in our room for us. Room was clean and fresh . We had wifi which you can access easily. I read people moaning the signal for phones isn't great. It's like that in many parts of the isle. The worst reviews are a joke left by bitter... More

On approaching the hotel it looks a bit tired from outside but on checking into room 20 we were confronted with a superb sea view and wonderful wrap around balcony. Despite one day being very stormy the view is fantastic. Whilst the hotel is still a little tired inside too with a few repairs needed the star were very friendly... More

Have just returned from 3 night stay here and had a brilliant time. We had a superior double room (20) with the most stunning views across the sea. Location couldn't be faulted with direct access to the beach down the steps with lots of local pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Only thing that wasn't quite amazing was the breakfast.... Really struggled with this rating. Four stars for the friendly staff, location, and the view (from our deluxe double was superb). The slippers were a nice touch as were the lovely toiletries. The bed was comfy, the linen was fresh & clean, and we both had a good night's sleep. But for 110 pounds per night.... Parking is woeful, and... More

We booked a whole week here as a convalescence for me and my hubby. It is a lovely hotel, overlooking the sea. We had room 11 which had a super balcony, with decking, and 2 comfortable chairs. The bedroom was well appointed, but my only gripe would be the lack of housekeeping. The floor was not vacuumed for the whole... More

Stayed at this hotel just for one night after reading reviews about the views. We were greeted with friendliness and show our room , number 20 which was large and had a lovely curved balcony with views over the bay. The bed was extremely comfortable and nice chairs on the balcony. The only complaint would be that it is directly... More

We had booked for two nights but one was enough and we checked out. Ok the season is over, but standards shouldn't drop, or so does the reputation. We paid extra for a sea view room (£118 per night) and it was showing signs of age, though of course the views are stunning and that's what they are relying on.... More

My husband booked one night at The Wellington for our fifth wedding anniversary. We had travelled over to the island specifically to eat at a local restaurant. The room was amazing with a fantastic view, spacious sun terrace and a large comfortable bed. Everything was clean and fresh. However we noticed a wet towel was wrapped round the bottom of the... More

Had a short break on the Island and stayed at this hotel. We didn't choose this venue but our friends did. Great balcony to our room so super sea views. Staff were friendly and accommodating, breakfasts were good, however, having stayed in many hotels around the world with similar views and facilities we didn't think it was worth £120.00 per... This is our fourth time at The Wellington. This year the friendly staff and lovely setting were just as good as we remembered. The main reason we love this hotel is for the balcony views across the sea. That's what you pay for! It's not cheap but we think it's worth it. All the staff are really friendly too. Ray,... More
