We stayed for 3 night here and it surpassed all our expectations. It is run by a lovely family who are relaxed and accommodating. The hotel and the grounds are beautiful and there is no need to leave there's so much for everyone to do. The food is also really excellent. We will definitely be back. Can't recommend it highly... We have just returned from our 7th stay and we are planning our 8th. This really is the best child friendly hotel I have ever known. It allows parents the most relaxing holiday it is possible to have with children. The owners are very involved every day and the laid-back approach allows everyone to feel at home. You can spend... We stayed for 3 nights at the start of August with our 3 boys and had a fantastic time. It may have been coincidence but the friendliness of the other guests and the fact that the children all played together from the moment we arrived was what really set it apart. The older part of the building is beautiful and... More

You will need a day to adjust to this hotel. It's not the normal set up. Yes things seem to be outdated with a minimal staff and limited WiFi access. The hotel is quite remote and set in beautiful surroundings . The staff were great (Laura) in charge of meal times made us feel relaxed and nothing was too much... More

We have just returned from our 5th visit to this hotel and it won't be our last. There are many hotels that claim to be family friendly but none of them compare to the old park. From the family suites where the children have their own room, the restaurant quality home cooked food, the gardens, pool, soft play, snooker and... More

The Old Park Hotel is a odd, eccentric mix of the delightful, the grandiose, and the frankly bizarre. It's basically an old fashioned-style hotel with a Rocco hallway, Edwardian bar, smartly-dressed waiters and 1970s decor (right down to the local authority-style fire doors). On arrival, I thought we'd made a terrible mistake. But I quickly realised that the main selling... More

Run by a genuinely nice couple in a beautiful part of the world, this place is worth visiting only if you have children. Could do with some efficient maintenance . However, the nice couple who run this place are really very kind ,honest and lovely.

Wonderful and quirky hotel. Don't stay here if you don't like children. One or two things were awful but generally it's a great place to stay. We travelled with a young couple and their 22m toddler. Food was excellent and they were pleased to have a separate tiny bedroom for their child. It was however vey hot in the eaves... More

Just returned from such a great holiday at this hotel with our 6 year old, 3 year old and new baby. All of us loved every minute. Our two little boys in particular could not have had more fun and are already begging to go back. They loved the climbing frame, soft play and swimming pool and enjoyed the freedom... More
