Really enjoyed my stay here at Old Park. A beautiful location, great for kids and terrific staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. Enjoyable food and wine. Plenty for kids to do of all ages, swimming pool, soft play, table tennis, snooker and pool, plus visits from magician and birds of prey display. Quirky and fun fun fun. You... More

This truly is the most amazing family friendly hotel ever. My second visit and was a little worried about the relaxed state of the hotel but I have not felt so relaxed for such a long time. The hotel is in need of a lot of updating and maintenance but that does not take away from the fact that this... More

I cannot say enough good things about our holiday at the Old Park Hotel. From the owners, to the staff to to the cleaners, excellent service throughout. The food choice for the kids and adults was 10 out of 10. The activities put on by the hotel for the kids were all great fun. The history of the hotel, its... More

Please do not take notice of negative reviews, if it is your childrens enjoyment that matters, then this is the hotel for you, the bedrooms we had for my wife and 3 granddaughters were very large, yes, they were old fashioned, but that keeps in with the character of the building, the ages of the children were 4, 5 &... Our future summer holidays will never not include a stay at this fantastic, child friendly hotel. Yes, the hotel could be updated and turned into a magnificent, chic boutique hotel, but the charm of this hotel lies in its state as it is. The owner, John is one of the nicest people you could hope to meet. His attention to... More

I knew this hotel from my visits to the area 30 years ago... Sadly nothing has changed it seems the place has stood still. It could be so lovely with a bit of thought and money spent by the owners, as location is great. Standard of rooms need raising, basic requirements are not even in place like a hair dryer... More

As you drive onto the hotel grounds, its clearly obvious that his hotel is going to rack and ruin. The gardens are overgrown and the front of the hotel looks very old fashioned and shabby. This theme runs throughout the hotel-it needs lots of money spent on it. Areas are dirty, rooms smelly and tired. The staff of the hotel (of... More

We spent a week at the Old Park Hotel and really loved it - so sad to leave! Children's mealtimes and baby listening is invaluable. Truly child-friendly, with great gardens to explore and an indoor soft play area.

We last stayed here in August 2011 with our grandchildren. We suggested should we go again and they readily accepted. The rooms are a bit spartan but very clean and everything works. The grounds are very natural and are home to badgers, rabbits and countless wild birds. There is a small indoor swimming pool and a larger games room. But... More

I booked this hotel to see the badgers that come in from the adjacent woodland each evening. I booked 4 nights for the price of three at a very cheap price of £225 including half board for June 2014. My room was comfortable with views of the badgers. I was able to see these badgers every evening from the gardens... More
