I stayed here in May 2011 with my Family and we had an excellent stay here. We stayed here for 6 nights. The staff couldn't do anything more to help us, they were excellent. The accommodation was very good and the views out to sea were stunning. My children and my wife had a lot of fun in the swimming... More

I would stay at this hotel again. It was not perfect but there was nothing seriously wrong and there were significant good points: Friendly staff, the pool, good breakfasts, location. Detail:The hotel is in a good location for an excellent coastal walk to Ventnor (Ventnor is probably the best town on the island). The initial impression of the hotel was not... More

Although we have been to the Isle of Wight several times before we have never stayed at Shanklin, what a gem. The Cliff Hall is also a Gem. Excellent hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them. We stayed four nights and paid extra for a room that opened out onto the gardens and fabulous view. Room 30 is the... More

We stayed here for 3 nights on our first ever visit to IoW. We were greeted by very friendly, helpful staff who went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and no matter how busy, they always had time to help with any queries. We did have one minor complaint which could be argued was down to our... More

Very friendly accommodating hosts, great food, service and wonderful cliff-top views of the adjoining coastline. Victorian property with 28 rooms and on-site parking only a short walk from picturesque Shanklin thatched cottage village and the Chine, one of the islands first tourist attractions. Also hotel very near the lift which takes you down to the esplanade and beach.

Been several times before to this welcoming family run hotel. My disabled husband always gets a warm welcome and feels comfortable here and the large king-size bed in the spacious disabled room with two easy chairs and settee makes our stay all the more comfortable. The disabled room has a sea view and overlooks the gardens and has a very... More
