Loved this place, the room was on the 2nd floor so a bit of stairs but great view, the people there are great, so nice and helpful! The living room area has great couches were you can feel at home! Nice parking and only 5 mins walk from the beach! I loved it, perfect for a young couple like us!

The setting of this hotel is great, beautiful sloping garden with an interesting walk down to the beech, great communal rooms and splendid old historic building in a tranquil quiet setting. There was so much to like about this place but I feel that the owners have taken their foot off the pedal and let it go. Some problems are... More

Lovely hotel and lovely staff, secure parking for our motorbike but room was a bit tired as was the en suite but still nice, the endless free hot drinks and chocolate cake and biscuits was a lovely touch, the outside space was great and the breakfast was just right, it was good as it does not cater for too many... One of the most quant hotels / b&bs i have been in! The rooms are a great size for what you pay, plus each and every room has a great view! 5mins walk for the beach plus bus and train links to Ryde and Sandown it is in an ideal location. However the bathrooms in some bedrooms are small and/or... More

I would really like to have given the Grange 4 stars, as there's a lot to like about it. It's a lovely old building with a big sloping garden, and the communal rooms are great - there's a large guest sitting room, a decking area with tables and chairs outside, and tea, coffee and an honesty bar are available at... This is not a Hotel, it is a guest house. The car park is far too small for the number of guests and staff to park. If you go out for the day and come back latish, it is almost impossible to get parked. Reception is generally not manned for large parts of the day. There is a bell at... More

This is my second visit to The Grange and it definitely won't be my last. In a perfect location, close to the beach and the pretty old village yet tucked away so as to feel peaceful and secluded. The staff are extremely friendly and committed to making your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The breakfast is delicious served in a very... More

The Grange is one of many gems on the Isle of Wight, from the wonderful 'Chine' nature gorge a few minutes away to the heavenly cycle rides along (sadly) disused railway lines and peaceful tracks with gardens and meadows on either side with occasional signs promising 'red squirrel crossing'. Our long w/end began with a fast train journey from Waterloo... More

The hotel is a converted manor house with South facing terrace and sloped gardens. It is about 15 mins from the main beach, downhill there at least. The rooms are well sized and comfortable, although three star rather than four. The location and the staff more than make up for this, very helpful and friendly and cannot do enough to... More

I had intended to visit the Grange for one of their courses, but as that couldn't go ahead I took a short break instead and was glad I did. The sea view was fantastic, the gardens lovely and the accommodation clean, comfortable and spacious. Jenny and staff were very friendly and helpful in providing information, and I had a great...
