I went for a weekend break with my sister and niece on 12th July, Our rooms were clean, warm, and quite spacious. There was ample choice for breakfast served by two very pleasant young people. The Avenue is walking distance to the railway station, we went to Ryde for the day which cost us £8.10 return for all 3 of... More

We stayed for 2 nights with our daughter and future husband on a B & B basis, a very warm welcome was received upon arrival whereby we were shown to our rooms. Nice sized rooms however the en suite we had ( room 2 )was rather cramped but this did not deflect from the overall experience. The rooms were clean... More

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights and we loved it. The room was really nice: comfy and cosy with ample space for 2 and lots of luggage! The bathroom was miles better than our own which was great and depressing in equal measure. The breakfast was a highlight, with plenty of options: fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt, toast, tea,... More

Solid 4* B&B - the owner Steve is welcoming and showed us to/around our rooms. Stayed in a single room but had a double bed to myself. Tea/making available in the room too, with a small LCD TV with lots of channels (all the freeview ones). Bathroom was quite small but sufficient. Breakfast is a very good spread - freshly... More

Myself, partner and daughter had a great few days at the Avenue. The service was excellent. Very clean and tidy guesthouse. Great position for walking into the beach and town. Would highly recommend.

We phoned The Avenue the day we arrived in the Isle of Wight as the first b&b we stayed in was awful. They were extremely helpful and let us view the rooms before we left a deposit so we didn't have a repeat of the first place we stayed! The room was absolutely lovely, they gave us a large room... Not just because of this hotel, my girlfriend and I had a fantastic time on then Isle of Wight. The Avenue is a great base to explore the island and the great breakfast was an excellent start to each of the three days we were there. The added bonus of a wifi made up for the fact that the TV... First time to the Isle of Wight. Really good location and with added benefit of parking walking to the town centre or beach made easy. While the town and old town have some good pubs try and make the last one - or two back at the guest house. Steve is a really good host and we thoroughly enjoyed our... More
