A massive thank you to Claire and Guy for making our weekend so special. The rooms were fantastic, beds so comfortable I didn't want to get up for breakfast. That being said I was up every morning which is unusual for me I could not miss such a lovely well cooked, well presented meal. Nothing was too much trouble for... More

We have recently returned from another great week's stay at the Royson. As always, Claire and Guy were friendly, helpful hosts and the breakfasts first class with plenty of choice. As regular visitors to the Royson, we were impressed by the progress made with their upgrading of the rooms. We also appreciate the easy access from The Royson to the... More

I booked a room with Royson Guest House, and when I showed up, I realized I made a mistake and booked the room for one week after. I asked the owner if it is possible to cancel the booking (this is one week in advance) and offered a very fair deal - if they manage to find someone for the... More

We were expecting this, I can only presume your boyfriend wrote this as it was him who phoned regarding this matter, When speaking with your boyfriend the attitude you mention was possibly as a result of him swearing and shouting down the phone -verbal abuse, swearing and the threatening to post bad reviews everyday just because you don’t like our... Really looked forward to our annual visit and were not disappointed, the choice of food is as extensive as ever, the owners gave us a warm welcome, the atmosphere was terrific, food fantastic, which made our holiday so relaxing. We also met other people we knew, who (like us) keep coming year after year, a recommendation in itself. Roll on... More

My husband and I stayed at The Royson for three nights and from arrival to departure Guy and Claire were very friendly, professional and helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, as was everything in the guesthouse. Breakfast was delicious, being a vegetarian, cooked breakfasts aren't always that tasty but this was really nice, so nice that I... More

We've reviewed this Guest House before and given Guy and Claire maximum points. They still deserve it. Since our last visit we have needed to accommodate a diabetic diet and nothing was too much trouble for Claire. Her superb cooking deserves the highest praise, and she made helpful suggestions and the necessary adjustments to her already substantial menu with ease.... More

Guy and Claire looked after us well. We booked two single rooms, which were good value: perfectly clean, comfortable beds and tea/coffee-making facilities. Breakfast was tasty, with a good choice of full English, salmon and scrambled eggs or a variety of other options, including vegetarian. Our bikes were stored securely outside. It's a pity that the only evening meal time... More
