We stayed 3 nights in this hotel and I must admit that this was a very good hotel. We have stayed at 2 others in Shanklin and Sandown and this one was the best. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. This hotel is ideally located to the old town, the high street and the sea front... More

Stayed with my daughter for just for 1 night whilst attending a wedding and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean and very welcoming and a great breakfast in the morning. The hotel appears far more attractive inside than the frontage. I will definitely stay again if I need to stay on the island.

This review is in two parts, one for the hotel and one for the overall package with Alfa travel Hotel first. I read a review about this hotel where somebody complained about there being no carpets on the lower floors, and whilst this is true it's not a problems but rather an advantage for people in wheelchairs and walkers. the... Having cycled from Surrey (some 70 miles) we were greeted in the car park and told it was not house policy to allow bikes in the rooms as they are too small. We were advised to just leave them out the back as only the staff go there. Not being happy to leave 2 x £1000 bikes unsecured we had... More

Dear Mr Bradley , thank you for your comments and we are sorry we did not meet your expectations on this occasion , however our comments as follow : it is not common practice guests bring their bikes into the bedrooms regardless of the room size , it is unheard off storing bikes in sleeping accommodation , we are a... Well where do I start....most friendly staff who could not be more welcoming. The owner bent over backwards for us. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice . Hotel within walking distance of lovely restaurants, bars and shops. Will def stay here again.

We (Myself, my wife and 26 yo son) were on a tight budget for a three night stay on the IOW.. This Hotel fitted the bill on price, but was fantastic. Very pleasant/polite and helpful staff, clean rooms and a good breakfast. You will see other reviews saying the rooms were small, ok, yes a little, but not for the... More

Title says it all. Staff are very welcoming, breakfast up to scratch, room clean etc but they are working with an old building and so for example your en-suite is very small, truly very small. At 6' and 18st I am at maximum for these rooms. For me drop the price by 25%-30% and I would be saying good value... More

Very friendly staff on reception and in breakfast room. Our room and those of our friends were bright and comfortable. The bathrooms were extremely small but fine for our needs. Lovely hot freshly cooked breakfast, with plenty of variety. Short stroll to the lift going to the beach. Old town of Shanklin with lovely traditional pubs only 10 mins easy... More

Excellent location and very friendly staff nothing was too much trouble. We arrived earlier than planned but were able to book in straight away. Breakfast superb we could not speak highly enough of how very welcome we were made to feel hotel is a very family orientated establishment. We would stay again and would recommend it to friends.

Boy is that true mistake.. BIG.. mistake.....I have read the other reviews on this hotel......Are we talking about the same hotel here....In all my years of going to hotels this must be the worst, entrance shabby, stairways painted undercoated steps and banister ( no it was not under renovation , as per June 13 ), no carpet until u get...
