Although just extensively renovated - it's still like walking back in time. Old fashioned keys to the doors are rare nowadays. Clean smart and good quality service. Very adequate for a short stay. Rooms a little small and multitude of stairs - easy to get lost. Close to sea and everything else but a steep climb (albeit short) back at... More

Our first visit to IOW turned from five days to ten due to the fab weather and the hospitality of this excellent hotel. From the Manager to the Housekeepers the staff were always helpful and friendly, we felt at home straight away. Our room was compact but very clean and comfy. Loved every minute and already planning another visit to... More

Came here for a drink with old uni friends and loved it. One of my friends was staying here, and her room was amazing and cheaper than where I stayed (gutted). Played pool and did a pub crawl before deciding this was the best place to be on the Island. We are all coming back next month, and will try... More

Came for a long weekend, and wished I'd booked a longer holiday. My room was absolutely gorgeous, clean, bright, airy, with a great view. That's just for starters! Breakfast was totally amazing. I briefly visited my friends staying at the hotel across the road and took them up to my room to watch telly, and they couldn't get over how... More

We booked this hotel as we were staying on the island for one night. I checked out the reviews before and was expecting it to be okay, nothing special but does the job. I was right - the decor could need updating but the hotel was clean, the staff were polite and helpful and most importantly me and my partner... More

Stayed 3 nights but the first night was a ground floor room and about to be re-done. Complained to a lady I think Tracey and she moved me to a sea view freshly decorated room for no extra charge. She was really a lovely person as were the rest of the staff. My only complaint was that the breakfasts were... More

Thank you so much for your fantastic review. I am not sure Darren should encourage smoking but we are all adults! The whole team are enthused by these remarks and we will try and maintain at least if not improve our efforts. Thanks again, Philip More

Decided to go Cowes week for a visit to the Isle and took pot luck, This large building was on the way to Shanklin Beach. A lovely girl checked us in and showed us a sea view room which had been newly decorated. We went for a walk after a fantastic power shower wash. Returning at 7 the bar was... More
