My partner and me have just returned home from a wonderful weeks holiday at the Old Shanklin Guest House, we were unfortunate to miss out staying at the OSGH last year as it was fully booked, so we booked earlier this year to guarantee us staying and all we can say is that it fully worth the wait. The guesthouse... More

Stayed for 3 days. Gareth and Sarah are perfect hosts, and the breakfasts are first rate. Very comfortable bed and the en-suite was large and spotlessly clean. Would recommend without hesitation. We will be going back.

Me and my fiancée stayed here for 3 nights, and have to say it was absolute pleasure from start to finish. The room was very clean, smart and modern. And the hosts Gareth and Sarah were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast provided here was varied and always hot and brought to your table with a smile and a grin,... More

Have just returned today after holidaying at this lovely guest house. Read all the reviews before booking hoping not to be let down again, and I have to say it is as lovely as the reviews say. Our room was of a big size, lovely firm king size bed, large bathroom with toiletries supplied. The host and hostess were excellent.... More

Thank you so much for your review, Sue. We’re glad you enjoyed yourselves despite the lack of Mrs OSGH, due to her hospital admission! Mr OSGH had to cope admirably for 9 days in the end. We are both very grateful to our very understanding guests. Thankfully the seagulls have gone. It’s a short window of time when the chicks... More

We visited the Isle of Wight for two nights and couldn't have asked for a better place to base ourselves. From the initial warm welcome from Sarah and Gareth, to the decor, to the comfort, to the location, to the daily fresh cooked breakfast, everything was of the highest standard. Nothing could be faulted. We will be recommending Old Shanklin... More

Sarah and Gareth were very friendly and hospitable. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Good quality towels and bed linens. There was a wide choice for breakfast and some great homemade jams and marmalade. They were both very welcoming and allowed us to leave our bags after check out so we could explore the area. Really well... More
