We went there for my birthday, but they did not do any special arrangement to the rooms or anything even though its been requested, so a little annoyed but not the end of the world Nice breakfast, would not say top class, but very standard from a B&B Very very friendly staff, a big plus especially there was a lot... I stayed at the fernbank hotel. from the 12th to the 19th October 2014. the owners & staff were friendly & very helpful. they even offered to help me with my bags.in my experience this is rare these days. I've been staying in b&b, since the 60s. this is one of the best. it is excellent in every way, even... More

We can't praise fernbank high enough, what a wonderful place to have stayed. From begining to end nothing was to much trouble, the staff were lovely. The owners booked our ferry for us when we booked our room with them. The hotel and our beautiful bedroom were spotlessly clean, there are lots of areas to sit and relax, plus the... More

Spent a lovely 5 nights at this hotel..cannot recommend it highly enough! Firstly it was great how they were able to let us come a day early after we had had enough of the awful place we were staying in for a few days prior to us going to the Isle of Wight. We felt at home as soon as... More

More hotel than B&B, this is a great, quiet place to stay on the island. Fabulous staff and spotless facilities with the added bonus of having a heated indoor pool. Wonderful place for a peaceful break.

A warm welcome, our room was excellent, lacked a view which was the only downside to our visit. Breakfast was excellent, and taken in a well furnished light & airy conservatory, with very attentive staff. The location is also very good, just a 5minute walk into Old Shanklin, with an array of pubs and restaurants, if you are looking for... More

This hotel is an absolute gem. Anyone who knows me knows that I like a good moan, but I found NOTHING to complain about during my recent 4-night stay. There is loads of off-street parking. The welcome is warm and friendly - the owners and the staff treat guests with care and respect. Guests are truly valued. The whole place... More

This hotel exceeded our expectations, although we read plenty of good reviews we did not expect to exceed our expectations but it actually did. We were unable to find anything wrong whatsoever and the owners deserve much praise, we visit the Far East quite often and have stayed at excellent 5 star hotels so know the difference between excellent, good,... My 4th time here, spent an absolutely fantastic week again. Food is exceptional, rooms clean and well decorated, staff are helpful without being intrusive and the hotel is set in a quiet area but within easy walking of the old village area. Excellent access to buses. Everything you could want in a family run hotel. I'll b going back again... More
