Stayed here for 3 nights. Rooms were great with fantastic sea views. The staff were very friendly and made us feel at home from the time we first arrived. Breaksfast was fab. Lots of locally sourced food and cook to perfection. Plenty of extra coffee, toast etc if you wanted any. It really set us up for the day. We... More

We had the please of visiting the IOW for a few days this month. Stayed in Shanklin and had a great evening meal at the Waterfront. The next day the three families (6 adults 7 children) decided to walk along the promonade. It started to pour and didn't look like letting up.. We took shelter in the Waterfront having remembered... Myself and my husband stayed at the waterfront for 3 nights . Our room was very modern and clean . The bed was very comfortable. And the towels were lovely and soft. The owners were so helpful , and all the staff , they couldn't do enough for us . We had 20 of our extended family dine with us... More

Lovely to be back at the Waterfront Inn. Lots of changes since last stay, new ladies loos, bedroom updated and food on the menu but friendliness and atmosphere the same! Highly recommend it.

My wife, dog and I visited while attending a two day exhibition on the Island. Choosing a restaurant without a recommendation is very often a gamble but when you are pleasantly surprised, as we were, it can add to the overall experience. Owned and managed by husband and wife team who really took pride in what they were doing and... More

At the end of a 15 mile walk with the rain closing in we approached this B&B with some trepidation, having booked an extra day off here. When we realised which of the B&Bs was ours we were delighted - it has a very welcoming and charming exterior and everything about the inside matched. The food was excellent, the staff... More

We ate at this restaurant on a very busy Easter Sunday and that might account for the long wait that we had before our food was served (45 minutes). We asked on two occasions when our food was coming, but were never given an apology. Nor did anybody come to check that we were happy with our food once it... More

Thank you for your review. We are sorry that you had a wait for your food - as you correctly surmise we had a large number of orders come into the kitchen on that Easter Sunday and it was simply not possible to serve our freshly-cooked food within a short space of time. We are certainly concerned that the wait... More

We didn't stay here but came for the food. Talk about huge portions. The food was very tasty, and the service was excellent despite it being very busy. The waiter was even considerate noting we were Muslim and pointing out the dishes that had alcohol in them. We were very impressed.

My wife and I decided to take advantage of some free time whilst our son was off on a school trip and pay a long overdue visit back to the Isle of Wight. After some extensive research of hotels around the island we eventually settled on The Waterfront Inn at Shanklin. The Inn is well presented and fronted by some... More

Thank you so much for your very positive review - your comments make all the hard work worthwhile. As you mention, the water pressure in Room 8 is not as good as we would like and we are working to improve it. This may require a major overhaul which will have to wait until later in the year. Thank you... More

The hotel is lovely and a good price and the rooms are large, clean, comfortable and airy with a good ensuite. The staff are friendly and make an effort to learn your name and your likes/dislikes. The restaurant food is great and not expensive, and appears to be locally sourced. I had a fabulous seafood platter which was very fresh and... More
