The Waterfront Inn is an excellent choice! The staff are warm, friendly without being intrusive. The food is fantastic and the rooms are clean and comfortable. There is nothing quite like going to sleep and waking up to the sound of the waves lapping on the beach. Although the hotel is lively during the evening, once the bar closes, everything... More

We ate at this restaurant on the night of the fireworks during the Shanklin Regatta. We did not book a table, so on arrival we were told there would be a table free shortly but we might have to wait 20 minutes. However, this did not matter since we were given great service throughout. A family with a 4 &... More

Just had a 2 night stay at the waterfront and had a fantastic time, our room had a sea view and although it was pretty basic it was clean and comfortable. I really judge rooms on 3 things, comfy bed and pillows, hygiene and the shower! All were very good the shower was amazing most powerful to date. The breakfast... More

Visited for a meal 5th August early evening with group of 6 + baby. Exceptionally good service, with staff moving tables and chairs to accommodate pram and wheelchair. Great food and attentive but not intrusive waiting staff. Staff carried wheelchair down steps as we left - great attitude. Our second visit and we will certainly return again. Also noted the... More

Stopped in for drinks and a meal. Good service and very good value for money. Had the £9.95 2 course lunch. Great table in sun in front of the sea...could have been the med if we'd squinted a bit! Recommended!

We didn't stay here but went here one evening quite late and they had stopped serving food but we stayed for a couple of drinks anyway. We returned the next evening a bit earlier and ate. We were a large group (about 13 of us) and the orders were taken promptly, food came out quickly and everyone had a really... More

Our fourth year as guests of David and Catherine, I'm tired of the folk type music, if I hear the song Jolene played one more time this holiday I will be found hanging from the trellis archway above the steps. This type of music just sends me to sleep, a bit more life to it please. Dave W

Four of us had an evening meal on the terrace. Service was excellent, staff were very welcoming and efficient. Alex the head waitress was particularly helpful and friendly and went out of her way to ensure we enjoyed the evening. The menu had a wide choice to choose from and the portions were large enough to ensure that the healthiest... More

Fantastic location opposite the seafront, all helped by great weather. Room ok facing the sea, might benefit from Aircon as the Sun really shines on it, we didn't eat there because the menu didn't suit us (it was very popular anyway) and the wiring might need a check here 'n there (oven broke down for breakfast on 18th but not...
