Just returned from a weeks stay. Cottage spotless. Everything you could possibly need. Lovely garden. Outdoor hot tub easy to use. Sun loungers in garden. Garden furniture outside cottage on a decked area and furniture outside hot tub great for sunny days. Only negative was no wardrobe in one bedroom and lack of space to put toiletries in bathrooms. Also... More

We have been coming here the last 10 years got to know Denise who use to live in Nottingham , she upgraded us to one of the new cottages and it was great only thing was lack of utensills in the property very limited. The shower in the on suite had no where to put shampoo etc and no bins... More

This was our first stay at Upper Chine but unlikely to be our last. The location is superb and the accommodation very good. Apartment 3 has a view over the start of the chine, the furniture was all fine and comfortable, the kitchen fully equipped for 4 people, fixtures & fittings in good order and everything worked. When we arrived... More

We have been coming here on and off for over 10 years, but the last 3 years there has been a real decline. The only reason I've given a 2 rating is because the cottage was spotlessly clean. Now for the negatives. The front door had a gap through the panel and the outside of the door was covered in... More

We've just come back from a great week away. At Upper Chine you have a wide choice of accomodation to suit all. The location is perfect and i really wouldnt want to be anywhere other than Shanklin. There are cycle routes on your doorstep and the No3 bus (runs outside) takes you to many places. The pool is an added... More

We have stayed here twice as a family group and both times have had a really wonderful time. Both cottages have been home from home with everything you could want or need and all spotlessly clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The last stay was in Squirrels Dray and we loved the little enclosed patio that was bright and... More

We stayed here during October half-term. We liked the fact that we were tucked away from everything and the cottage we rented was superb and had everything we needed. There was free wi-fi too and a large tv, which made the kids (& me) happy. There were not many other people staying there and we did not meet any of... More

We stayed here in Hideaway cottage two years ago (see my earlier review) and at the time I described it as "the perfect Hideaway" .. having just returned from a week holiday here I can say it's still good but no longer perfect. There are silly little niggles that other reviewers have mentioned such as the bathroom extractor that doesn't... More

We stayed in Owls Hoot, a 2 bedroomed cottage, from 7th - 14th September. The cottage is lovely, with a spacious kitchen/diner/lounge area with a brick fireplace, large flat screen TV with freesat, and DVD player. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you need to self cater should you decide to do so. Upstairs, the main bedroom has... More

This was our third stay at the Upperchine Holiday Cottages and won't be our last, we are never disappointed, the staff are so friendly and helpful, it's a real pleasure to visit. We stayed in Hedgehogs Retreat this year, a lovely three bedroom cottage which backs onto the Chine and when sitting out on the patio you can hear the... More
