We booked the Richmond directly as I was looking for accommodation close to a function in Shanklin, many places appear to be closing at this time of year! The Richmond did not disappoint, our room was finished to a high standard and the all important breakfast was served quickly and was piping hot. Our room was large with a beautiful... More

The weather was good so we nipped over to the Isle of Wight as we wanted to go before it gets too busy. Turned out our choice of The Richmond in Shanklin was an excellent one. Our room was large and tastefully decorated, the large en-suite shower room was to show home standard. We had had a very good breakfast,... More

Just a quick thank you to the The Richmond B&& for a lovely weeks stay. My husband and I wanted to revisit the Isle of Wight for our anniversary. As the weather can be changeable this time of year we wanted a good location with a B&B with larger rooms, the Richmond did not disappoint. Our room had obviously been... More

A small family run B&B... we were greeted with a big smile and welcoming man. Our room was small but comfortable... with a lovely ensuite bathroom. TV and coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast was nice. Cooked breakfast, veggie option available... yogurts, juices, tea and coffee, cereals. Would definitely return.

The location of BnB is 5 minutes from the Beach. Our room (No. 2) was clean and beautiful. Specially we liked the idea of separate small room for watching TV. Although bathroom was smaller than expected but was clean and tidy. The owners were nice and had warm welcome. The breakfast was delicious. The only issue faced was about hot water... More

Hello and thank you for taking the time to post a review. We're glad you liked the room and enjoyed your time with us and on the island. As you appeared to be quite young and inexperienced travellers there are a few points I'd like to respond to. The check-in and check-out times are very much what you would expect... More

Very nice 3 night stay at the richmond. Mark and Caz were very welcoming lovely couple. Bedroom/bathroom was lovely and clean, modern and comfortable. Breakfast was a little to small for my partner but perfect for me. Only one negative would be the on site parking. Needs to bump up kerb not so friendly to the car. Other that that... More

Mark & Kaz are really welcoming, we had a very spacious room which was of high standard and lovely décor. Immaculately clean as was the dining room which served an excellent breakfast. Would definitely consider going back there. Very satisfied.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay- our room (no. 6) had just been redone and had all the modcons necessary for a short visit, even though it was the "small room". Shops and other amenities are all close by. Many thanks to Mark and Caz for making us feel so welcome, and for the really great breakfast's we so enjoyed. Jan... More

Recently spent 4 nights at this b&b. Rooms were nicely decorated, only complaint here was the really small wardrobe (half the size of a single). Very clean, really comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water. Nice cooked breakfast. In a good position for walking to beach & the village where there are plenty of shops, pubs & eateries. Would recommend.
