We recently stayed at the Miclaran bed and breakfast and we could have not asked for more, my wife and I were warmly greeted by the hosts Sue and Alan and shown to our en-suite room, fortunately it was a beautiful day and the first thing you notice is the amazing sea view across the bay, the room is comfortable... A very friendly welcome, a well equipped room, delicious breakfast and excellent sea views. The guest house is located within easy walking distance of various eateries and yet it is quiet and peaceful, ideal for a restful holiday.

Very nice and clean B&B, we were made very welcome and the breakfast was yummy too. Its situated a little way from town, so perfect for strolls along the coast. The room (we stayed in) was big enough with a good size wardrobe and everything present. The bed was a little smaller than we are used to but it was... More

We stayed here for four nights in July and it couldn't have been better. Lovely hosts, super bedroom with great sea view, delicious breakfast served to you expertly by Alan- in fact everything was perfect. If you are looking for a B&B, you MUST go to the Miclaran. We will definitely return!

Just stayed at Miclaran and I really couldn't, fault it. Great coast location, well maintained property, owners Alan and Sue made us so welcom. Room was spacious and spotless, breakfast well cooked and presented and the price to stay competitive. Would we stay there again, you bet we would.

This is a friendly hotel run by a very passionate family with the highest of standards. We booked for four nights and would have liked to have stayed more. The sea views from our room were stunning and the well kept garden a bonus. No trouble parking with short scenic walks to Sandown, Shanklin and the beach. The Hideaway café... More

Staying here at the moment. Definitely recommended. Charming and helpful owners. Put us onto an interesting restaurant on the coastal path about 400 yards away. We are in a room that has a point blank view of the sea looking East, beware morning sun at "Sparrows" does wake one up a bit early. Everything fresh and clean, proper bathroom with... More

I booked this Bed & Breakfast based on Tripadvisor reviews and I wasn't disappointed. The Miclaran is in a great location, just a 20 minute walk to Shanklin in one direction and Sandown in the other. When we arrived we were given a very warm welcome from Alan and we were delighted with our room. We had requested a twin... More

Very nice guest house, very clean, very quiet and very well located, just face to the sea from which it is separated by a beautiful garden where you can sit and enjoy the place. The hosts are very kind and always helpful

We booked a room in The Miclaran based on many favourable reviews posted on various websites and we were not disappointed with our choice. The place is very flexible with check in hours, the people who run it are super nice, welcoming and happy to help you in any way they can. The rooms are quite small but well-appointed and... More
