Having just read that people who return time and again don't bother to write reviews, I felt I had to comment. We first stayed at The Hazelwood in 2008 and have been going back ever since. A lovely house, spotlessly clean, wonderful food. Situated a few minutes from the train station and the bus stops, should you want to leave... More

We have been coming to the Hazelwood for many years and have enjoyed every stay. The reason we keep coming back is that Phil & Karl are so welcoming, the accommodation is spotless, breakfast is plentiful with a good choice, all in all a top notch experience!

Thank you very much for this delightful review. One of the best things for us about running The Hazelwood is the large number of return guests we have, many who, like you, have been visiting us for years. We always look forward to your visits. People who have been coming for years tend not to bother to write reviews and... More

Just returned after spending 6 nights at The Hazelwood. Phil and Karl are two very nice guys who run a lovely B & B. The room was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was first class, and it has a lovely garden. Will definitely be staying there again....... keep up the good work guys.

We had a lovely time at the Hazelwood, staying 2 nights in room 5. Phil and Karl were friendly and helpful, the breakfast good and the room clean and comfortable. It's in a great location only a couple of minutes from lovely seaside walks. We nearly left with a Hazelwood teddy bear as a souvenir - maybe next time!

I've just come back from 5 nights at the Hazelwood. A great stay - and just to prove it I have already booked a further stay in a month's time! The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts are yummee! Phil and Karl are great hosts - they are friendly and helpful. They deserve all the success in the... More

We had an excellent 3 night stay at the Hazelwood, the BnB was a wonderful location, a short walk into town or down to the beach, as we were quite high up the views were amazing. Phil and Karl were extremely welcoming especially as my daughter changed her mind about coming at the last minute and they could accommodate us... More

This is the best b&b we have stayed in during our visits to the isle of wight, Made to feel very welcome by Phil, our room was clean & spacious, very comfortable bed ensuring a good night's sleep. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and was plentiful, good idea getting you to fill out a menu card the day before. No... More

Spent 2 nights in Shanklin at the Hazelwood, first visit was last September (2013). Phil and Karl always so welcoming and offer a delicious cooked breakfast, with lighter options. Great value B&B and offer recommendations about places to visit and eat within Shanklin and around the Island. Many great restaurants/pubs/cafes within walking distance, along with the beach and the quaint... More

Would recommend this little guest house in Shanklin, It's location is great with only a 2 minute walk to beautiful clifftop views and easy walking distance of the main Shanklin town centre with restaurants, bar's the chine and the seafront. There was plenty of free parking which was excellent as some places on the island are expense to park in.... More
