Just come back from a fantastic stay at the hotel, staff are wonderful especially Kelly on reception. Room upgraded on the second day and I had asked for a bottle of sparkly put in the room on the second day as a surprise and it was there for when we got back. this is the second time we have stayed... We purchased one night in a "superior suite" for £20 through a third party promotion and should have guessed it was too good to be true. We were contacted by the hotel before leaving home saying they had mistakenly listed the suite & would we accept a good room with a sea view which was easy to reach instead. Reluctantly... More

I got a very good room rate for this hotel and on the price paid should be 4 stars, but putting the cost of it aside, the room 120 I stayed in was compact. The shower was compact and a sprinkler, everything was compact. Staff were very friendly, the room was clean, but also extremely warm even though the radiator... More

Staff: extremely friendly, extremely helpful, and very professional with it. Our waiter: Chris - started the day we arrived (on trial!) - you would never have known it. He was excellent and very obliging, and friendly with it. Very pleased to say he got the job permanently while we were there. Well done Chris! All staff showed great teamwork. Hotel:... More

5 day National Holiday at Shanklin Beach Hotel, room clean but had no hot water, TV reception was none existence on BBC channels, no problem with getting a room changed, but the TV was even worse. Staff were pleasant, food ok, but one slice of toast each at breakfast a bit mean. For what we paid it was good value.... More

We have just returned back from a 5 day National Holiday trip to the Shanklin Beach Hotel. We were welcomed from reception staff and willing staff taking bags to room if required. Our room overlooked the beach, we were delighted as we had tried to request a room with sea view but had not had this option at time of... More

We stayed for Christmas as part of a Robinson's coach trip and stayed in room 207 and our friends in 208. When we booked we were not given the option of a sea view and our rooms overlooked the car park, however it being winter and us not being in the rooms much it didn't matter. The room was large... Thank you for the nice review, however, you have reviewed the wrong hotel as we do not have an indoor bowling green or swimming pool! Did you mean the Shanklin Hotel?? More

Hotel room was lovely, on first floor with a sea view. Plenty of hanging space and an adequate bathroom. However when we arrived at 5.30p.m. the room had no heating on and was decidedly chilly. We went down for dinner at 6.30p.m. and advised the receptionist that there was no heating and she said she would get it sorted. On... More

We booked a holiday with National holidays to the isle of wight on the 20th of October 2014.The journey down was a little different due to the amount of roadworks on our motorways, the driver of the coach was Peter and he made the journey interesting and had some funny stories to tell everyone which was great considering the pressure he... Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. The hotel was due to under go a refurbished programme at the beginning of 2014, however due to the adverse weather we suffered the programme was pushed back to make repairs on the roof. Refurbishment is now scheduled for the end of 2014/ beginning 2015. We are pleased to hear... More

Just come back from a weekend breakaway trip to IOW and stayed at this hotel as it offered car ferry ticket. Have done these trips before and found these cheap hotels a bit of a disaster but was pleasantly surprised by the service and standard of this hotel. The rooms may need a bit of tlc but they were comfortable... More
