Stayed one night at the Bayswell Hotel and sadly will not be returning. Yes, we had the lovely sea view which was beautiful which was a plus but outweighed by the negatives. Double bed which was the usual two singles pushed together and how many times did I slide into the gap?? If its a double bed, it is one!... More

Thank you for taking the time to give back. For information, the room was not just simply 2 beds pushed together but was a professionally designed and manufactured Zip n Link Bed, used in many hotels. You were offered an alternate room but declined. The sausages do not have garlic in, they are made by our local butcher here in... More

Having visited the hotel previously I was pleasantly surprised at the changes that have been made. it has definitely received much needed investment. The decor has certainly improved as well as the atmosphere - a warm welcome was provided by all the staff. The bedroom decor and size was excellent with fantastic sea views from the large bay window. There... More

Stayed at the Bayswell hotel for one night last week on a business trip. I've stayed here before a couple of times over the last few years. All the rooms I've had at the hotel have been spacious and comfortable but the main selling point to me has always been the peace and quite - little to no traffic noise... More

We booked this hotel from the internet as we were attending a wedding in Dunbar. It turned out to be a great choice. All the staff were great with us and a lot of people miss this point on tripadvisor. The housekeeping, bar, restaurant and reception staff were all excellent and couldn't do enough for us. Room was good (room... More

My wife and I booked in for a night after our honeymoon trip fell through. The hotel has gorgeous views (one side, worth paying the extra 10 pounds for a sea view), excellent food, and a wonderful staff. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the high street in Dunbar and there is a sea walk that goes for... More

We stayed here for a single night stay on the weekend. On arrival, the receptionist was very friendly & helpful. (as were all staff we encountered) The room was nice and clean. The main selling point of the hotel is probably its position, and view from the room was stunning! We had plans to eat our dinner elsewhere that evening... More

We had booked the hot tub room on a whim for one night away, when we arrived at the hotel the reception area had an awful smell of what I think was sewage, but we got shown to our room by a lovely receptionist who told us how the hot tub worked and where things were. The room was really... More

We stayed here sat/sun, the suite was huge and lovely, the views from the bed of sea gorgeous, 2 big windows with seats looking out on stunning views of the cliffs, rocks and private beach, breakfast had everything you could possibly want and the food was delicious, staff were lovely, friendly, approachable and helpful, will recommend room 12 in particular... This hotel is all about location with fabulous sea views from the restaurant, conservatory and many rooms. Sadly what is missing is someone with an aesthetic eye and attention to detail. Room 12 was formerly the Cocktail Lounge so it is very spacious but a fabulous bathroom with first rate fittings has been compromised by a ham fisted installer. The... More

After nine years of living in Edinburgh, we had never visited Dunbar. Our mistake. We spent three nights at the Bayswell Park Hotel and had a wonderful experience. My wife was feeling under the weather, so we spent most of the time in our room -- but in one as lovely, spacious and with such a big, brilliant coast/sea view... More
