its difficult to criticise when you have just enjoyed your well earned break away, But I can easily sum up the Bayswell, (it needs a lot doing to it) however like an old classic car you love it & want to see it restored, the fantastic staff are a huge asset to the place & add in the glorious sea... Lovely stay on a cold but sunny day (8th March 2015). Staff very friendly and in particular Louise was very helpful from the booking process right through to the welcome and departure. Our room (11) had a fabulous view . The food was excellent in the sea view restaurant. G Logan

My husband and I had lovely overnight stay at the Bayswell Park Hotel. After enduring a stressful few months, (we recently had a bereavement in the family) we agreed that an overnight stay somewhere peaceful without the kids was just what we needed!. We were not disappointed with the Bayswell. We were warmly welcomed at reception by Amanda who then... More

With such a fantastic location and such fabulous and friendly staff this hotel has everything going for it. The service is excellent with a feel that the staff really care about the guests more than just following the standard "customer service manual". So a great personal service. And the rooms have lovely views. But there was something about the building... More

Now this is tricky to say the least because this hotel has so much going for it that I can genuinely say that our stay was an enjoyable experience, however, there were very significant negatives, and I rather think it depends upon the lottery of which room you are allocated. On Friday we arrived at the hotel which has a... More

Stayed one night at the Bayswell Hotel and sadly will not be returning. Yes, we had the lovely sea view which was beautiful which was a plus but outweighed by the negatives. Double bed which was the usual two singles pushed together and how many times did I slide into the gap?? If its a double bed, it is one!... More

Thank you for taking the time to give back. For information, the room was not just simply 2 beds pushed together but was a professionally designed and manufactured Zip n Link Bed, used in many hotels. You were offered an alternate room but declined. The sausages do not have garlic in, they are made by our local butcher here in... More

Having visited the hotel previously I was pleasantly surprised at the changes that have been made. it has definitely received much needed investment. The decor has certainly improved as well as the atmosphere - a warm welcome was provided by all the staff. The bedroom decor and size was excellent with fantastic sea views from the large bay window. There... More

Stayed at the Bayswell hotel for one night last week on a business trip. I've stayed here before a couple of times over the last few years. All the rooms I've had at the hotel have been spacious and comfortable but the main selling point to me has always been the peace and quite - little to no traffic noise... More

We booked this hotel from the internet as we were attending a wedding in Dunbar. It turned out to be a great choice. All the staff were great with us and a lot of people miss this point on tripadvisor. The housekeeping, bar, restaurant and reception staff were all excellent and couldn't do enough for us. Room was good (room... More

My wife and I booked in for a night after our honeymoon trip fell through. The hotel has gorgeous views (one side, worth paying the extra 10 pounds for a sea view), excellent food, and a wonderful staff. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the high street in Dunbar and there is a sea walk that goes for... More
