We were very pleased with this hotel overall. As our room faced the main road we thought it would be noisy, but not at all. We had a really lovely ensuite room and with a small couch in the bay window. If I was being picky I would ask why there was no soap in the bathroom and why is... More

During a short trip to Edinburgh I stayed at the Rossborough Hotel in Dunbar, mainly because of its beautiful location and convenience to the city centre (via train which was a 5 min walk from hotel via a quiet sandy beach). The train journey was very comfortable and has the option of travelling first class only using 15-20 minutes of... More

if you are after a propper 5 star hotel, go book one and pay its prices. If you want a functional branded hotelroom identical to any other youve stayed in then Edinburgh has lots for you! Where this place wins every time is its cozy, cumfortable, family run atmosphere with a major emphasis on value for money and qualitty associated... More

Our aim is to offer the best service we can; however sometimes we let ourselves down and that makes us disappointed. We always strive to do better. We are a family which includes... More

I stayed here for one night with my partner and all I can say is i'm glad I wasnt paying the bill.... On arrival there were no staff on reception. My partner had already checked in on business locally but there was no-one available to inform that I would be staying with him that night. He showed me down to... More

In my eyes the staff is really trying hard and succeed in many aspects. The room was well equipped, the beds were super. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. One point down though: We slept later than the average guest and the breakfastroom was halfway cleared up with rags everywhere, no light and no heat. It looked to... More

PLEASE don't waste your money staying at this hotel. I understood from the signage at the hotel that it was 3star. I do think it is time to reassess the star rating. We stayed one night, on the 15th September. These are the points that we were really disappointed in: Windows- These looked broken. Asked in the bar, as no... More

1. I have been in the hotel business for more than 35 years and have a BA(Hons) Degree from the University of Ulster with a Diploma in Industrial Studies. 2. There is no 3* Signage in or outside Rossborough Hotel, I am sure that visit Scotland, the AA etc are quite capable of awarding the correct gradings. 3. We do... More

The atmosphere was great, friendly owners and employees. Surprisingly good restaurant. Bedroom was nice and on ground floor. A plus for us, since I use a scooter. Good location-short distance to the harbor and Asda shopping. A car is needed to explore the region. More

We stayed one night (mature couple and student daughter) and we are glad to say that our experience was nothing like some of the adverse reviews below. The room was comfortable, the service polite and friendly and the dinner was really excellent and extremely good value. We would be happy to stay there again. More
