Went to Dunbar to do the Belhaven Brewery Tour which was really good by the way and even better was the tasting session afterwards but the point of this review is stayed at the Royal MacKintosh Hotel in Dunbar and was thoroughly delighted with the whole experience. Lovely friendly staff very helpful especially CLIFF the manager. Gave us a lift... More

We stayed at the Royal Mackintosh hotel as we went to a wedding in the nearby Broxmouth Park. Upon arrival we were advised that one of our rooms wasn’t ready but we could gain access to the other one to get ready (we arrived before 12 and check in is at 1 so this was very kind of them). We... Stayed for one night only and was initially dismayed at the lack of parking, for only 6 cars. Although to be fair it does say this on the website, it is a little tiresome when you have to park off location and carry a lot of luggage but I can't say I wouldn't have known this if I had only... More

My husband and I stayed one night at the Royal Macintosh Hotel at the end of our walk along the Southern Upland Way. When booking, we just looked at what came up on the map and went for it. Well, I'd say we got very LUCKY! This is a wonderful place to stay. The room we booked was tidy and... More

This hotel was average. The first room we where put in was quite noisy, so we where moved to a room to sleep better. Both rooms I think needed bits doing to them, both very clean but certainly weren't worth £90 each we where charged. ( even though they knocked some money off due to noise the first night) Apart... Stayed here for one night it is approx 2 minute walk from the train station and minutes from the town centre. My room was a double room and had everything I needed for my stay, including free wifi and a flatscrre TV with DVD. It was clean, had a lovely comfortable bed with perfectly ironed white bed linen. The bathroom... More

I stayed here in late April as part of an organised group who took over a large part of what is a small hotel. I cant be sure but the hotel probably went out of their way to accommodate us because some of us ended up in the attic flat which is three bedrooms ( double/twin ) and two toilets... More

I booked this hotel for a group of 12 cyclists doing the Coast and Castles Bike Ride. The Hotel were very accommodating agreeing to store our bikes in the function room over night and then filling our water bottles for us the following morning. On arrival they gave us a table in the restaurant and took our orders so it... More
