Popped in here with a friend who has moved to Dunbar. Sat in the Beer Garden to the rear, overlooking a lovely park & views over John Muir Country Park. Great Setting. Service was impeccable, especially when "Mein Host" Jim arrived & gave some restless kids homemade tablet & crisps, really settled them down. Don't visit Dunbar much, as haven't... More

I stay at the Rocks when I work at the cement plant in Dunbar. Every time I have stayed there I have been made to feel really welcome. The staff are always willing to accommodate my needs and changes of bookings. The restaurant staff are superb and the food is of high quality. It's not a new hotel so if... More

As another reviewer put it, The Rocks ROCKS!! Can't sing their praises loud enough. This was my second stay and I had to come back here if for nothing else but the "Posh fish & chips"- my favorite! A quiet and relaxing stay after a long flight, incredibly warm and friendly staff. I'll forever be grateful for Sue's deft assistance... More

I came here on a spur with my partner and was pleasantly surpised as we had just booked a train randomly to Dunbar from Edinburgh. The service was great from the moment we stepped in with staff gladly helping up look up the last train times back into Edinburgh. The decor was classic and the place had so much charm... More

Booked a double family celebration at the Rocks, parents wedding anniversary and daughter's graduation and as usual Jim and his staff excelled themselves. From Ros the minibus driver to the waiting staff we were looked after like Royalty. We reserved the room to the left just as you go in the main door and it was the perfect size for... More

We held our daughter's graduation celebration in the private room at The Rocks last night. It was the most fantastic, special night from start to finish. The food was fabulous, great selection of fresh seafood and the owner Jim and his helpful, attentive staff went out their way to cater to our every need. Kirsty, in particular, was fab, nothing... We have never stayed at this hotel but eat there about 4 times a year. The proprietor always welcomes us back and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is very good. Sea food is always fresh and good sized portions. Today our party of 4 enjoyed the mussels, haddock chowder, dressed crab salad, liver and bacon, goats... More

We stayed in this hotel on the last night of walking the Southern Uplands Way. As such we wanted a celebratory meal and we were not disappointed. We opted for seafood and it was delicious and fresh. The beer from the local Belhaven brewery was excellent. The staff were friendly and one in particular was almost overwhelmingly helpful and attentive.... More

We had lunch here and were very impressed with the menu (lots of locally sourced sea food) and the service which was attentive without being overbearing. My lobster salad was faultless with delicious fresh ingredients. It is an old fashioned setting but the food was a nice mixture of contemporary and hearty. I will definitely go back. A lovely setting... More
