This restaurant provides you with class, atmosphere, it's very romantic.....but most important, the food is excellent. Been a few times and every time as good as the other. I'm going back in two weeks with family for my wife's 30th and can't wait, they have been extremely accommodating. You need to try this place out

Our room, though a little old fashioned and basic, had a beautiful outlook towards Dunbar harbour and the bed was nice and comfy. Our evening meal was excellent, beautifully presented and great value. I opted for a half lobster that had only been landed a couple of hours earlier, so it had a great texture and taste. Cask ales on... More

Our third visit in three months. First class service (Thank you James), excellent food and a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. The menu is interesting and varied, step-mother really enjoyed the fresh lobster and for me (vegetarian) an interesting and unusual choice (I get really fed up with veg lasagne & mushroom risotto being offered elsewhere). In summary, a topt place, we'll... More

2 mums, 2 daughters training for The Moon Walk talked the rest of the family into walking with us with the promise of dinner at The Rocks. Set off from Haddington and walked to Dunbar, really cold and windy day and arrived at The Rocks to a roaring fire....bliss. The welcome, as usual, was warm and very friendly. We had... More

i arrived here on Good Friday which was the second day of our bike ride to Edinburgh. We arrived soaking wet and were greeted with a friendly face which nothing was to much for the guy on reception. We were given our room key promptly. I was amazed at the quality of the room and the views we had from... More

We had a lovely dinner at The Rocks. The restaurant kindly provided a courtesy minibus from North Berwick for our family, and this was booked easily through their website. We recommend all the food on the menu - particularly the fish and the sizzling pork. The service was very friendly and welcoming and the food is excellent quality.

On my last visit to Dunbar I ate at the Rocks & it was my 4 time eating there & the food was excellent each time. They cooked with local produce where possible & the food was very good. Liked the ambiance of the bar & restaurant especially the real fire. Looking forward to my next visit!
