5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We spent three weeks in The Redcliffe hotel in August (with my husband, my daughter and her boyfriend) - and we were really happy there. The location is absolutely perfect (the hotel is really by the sea - no road, no path, just the sea - and it is close to the promenade) and the views from our room, from... More

This hotel has the best location in torbay with fine sea views. It was built as a gentleman's residence and I am prepared to accept that the accomodant is of good quality. I live locally and eat here occsaionally, but my problem is that I have yet to have a decent meal here. Recently I had a bar lunch of... More

We stayed overnight in August to celebrate my husbands 50th Birthday. Excellent evening meal and great service. The staff were very attentive and the pianist even played "Happy Birthday" The only down side was that there was a wedding on the Saturday night and they had taken over the bar. We did go in for a pre dinner drink but... More

Look, this hotel is not 5* but regularly scores 5 stars on Trip Advisor because it does exactly what it claims to do. Fantastically friendly and efficient staff, traditional but superb British food, simple but clean en suite rooms, great location and reasonably priced. There are good indoor and outdoor pools too. The entrance is a little dour, rooms are a little old fashioned... More

I'd stayed at the Redcliffe before, and wanted to come back with my girlfriend but sadly an accessible room wasn't available so we had to stay elsewhere. But by way of a compromise, I took her for a silver service dinner in the lovely restaurant with sea views across Torbay. We were welcomed by the restaurant manager and we had... More

Stayed last week. Stunning location, good food, great staff and good size rooms. Ok, the rooms are a bit dated but i think that adds to the charm! Well done redcliffe..we will be visiting you again soon.

I read the reviews which were all very complimentary and booked. We were not disappointed. The hotel is a good 3 *, the rooms were very good we were in 67 which had a balcony overlooking the pier, only concern was that the bed was small for a double. The restaurant was like a cruise ship dinning room, breakfast and... More

We went through an online booking system and booked for two adults and a child. On arrival we booked in and went up to our room but no child's bed was available. The receptionist Tina and Nigel were very helpful and kind. All was sorted. As the weather was glorious on arrival and there was plenty to see and do... More

My wife and I could only spare the time to book for one night at this hotel, but we will be back. The receptionist who welcomed us also happened to be the deputy manager. She could not have been more pleasant, even offering us a complimentary upgrade - just because the room had become available, during an otherwise very busy... More
